  1. Should read Practice makes perfect and there is a similar saying here: "Übung macht den Meister."
  2. Thanks Thales, from your words I see "it can be learned" though it may take a lot of training. Makes make perfect and there is a similar saying here: "Übung macht den Meister." Perhaps a good trader trades from price action like a well trained musician plays at sight. This helps and I like such a training much more than programming backtests... This is confirmed by scale invariance and self-simlarity of price action. If 1-2-3 is real than it must be observable on any time scale. I did such a test after my first reads in this thread und I repeated it today on my Bund charts, which I know inside out. You can find 1-2-3 patterns intertwined from a daily pattern down to 1m patterns. What you do is much more clear for me now. Good example and many thanks again for taking time to answer my question. Kind regards, Marko
  3. Thanks for this excellent post; the better a post the more questions follow. Does your DOM monitor local highs and lows or you monitor them while you watch the DOM? My DOM is rather dumb and shows daily high and low only. If you monitor them, what is your internal timeframe for that? I know that I asked this question some time ago, perhaps we can try an answer now. Personally I find it hard work to remember local h/l while watching a dancing price. Training can help when I know that it is possible.
  4. This was a tricky situation with EUR/USD today, please excuse hindsight. I am very busy with backtest on ACD.
  5. Just as a sign of life: EUR/USD 4h chart
  6. The 123 method did much better with this 6R Short.
  7. EUR/USD stopped. My first impressions about the huge stop were right. But impressions are not part of a trading system.
  8. I don't buy that signal, stop too large for me. Long now at the ACD Long level
  9. EUR/USD above Thursday's high Thales' long idea was right. ACD method has a huge stop today. Nice continuation signal for trend followers in 15m chart. Too steep or fast for a long continuation through the ACD level, should consolidate first.
  10. Indeed all sessions, FDAX , FGBL and EUR/USD were choppy.
  11. MK is correct. The abbreviations are YH / YL -- yesterdays high / low ZH / ZL -- day before yesterday high / low 2H / 2L -- two day high / low, including today 3H / 3L -- three day high / low, including today
  12. Finally an ACD Short signal, too late for me; I'll shut down at 17:15 German time
  13. EUR/USD not Short, comes down too fast Thales, did you consider the 123 Short ?
  14. EUR/USD may be Short soon Update: price returned into the Open interval.
  15. Update for Friday EUR/USD > 2R at end of day
  16. fxchateau.com : trading in the noise for >= $100 per month ? I always wonder, why these people can't make money with their perfect systems in the markets.
  17. Yes it does pay. For my standard FDAX and FGBL trades I always observe the 2 day and 3 day rhythm of high and low.
  18. From a daily chart I learn that price made it above 1.36 during the evening. So the R-multiple "could" be much higher, had I stayed online longer; anyway ten hours are definitely enough per day. I'll update that chart on Mo morning for the exact multiple, my chart programs are in the office since I don't take the markets home.
  19. Thanks, please give my birthday greetings to your son, wishing all of you a nice party and lots of fun.
  20. EUR/USD ACD Long closed at 17:15 Profit +30 , .84R FDAX Long was better
  21. Good point, confidence in a continuation of the previous move diminishes as time passes by; similar to an EDT.
  22. EUR/USD 123 setup on 15m chart Long is a correction, trends are down. Looks choppy.
