  1. I have tried to talk him out of it for 3 months telling him horror stories but he is insistent and I get the sense that he thinks I am being selfish by not doing it already. He originally wanted me to trade his 5k in my futures account which I refused, due to obvious reasons. We are both 31, we have been friends since we were 18 and have been very close since college. His former investment advisor lost him about 8k of his 10k which he had saved, he then moved on to investing for himself and lost a little more. If I do it he will not bug me daily about it, this is something we talked about. I was hoping there was some kind of account that could be set up where I place trades on his behalf but it is his account. I would be swing trading stocks 2-6 week holding time usually.
  2. Hi, I day trade mostly stocks and recently one of my closest friends asked me to trade his money along with my own (he has 5k to give me). I would either be trading longer term with his money or add it to mine (if legal to do so) because of the pattern day trading rule. Has anyone here done this? What legal entities if any need to be formed? Someone recommended a partnership but I don't know. Would a joint account work? I am not an investment advisor or anything like that if it matters for this. I would rather just do the legal part on my own rather than go to a lawyer. Any help would be great. Thanks
  3. Hello, Could somebody please explain to me what the es continuous contract is and how it differs from the quarterly contract? I am assuming it is for charting only, I appreciate your help.
  4. HI, I am using NInja to trade es and I have been tinkering with T&S. I have run into problems which I did not even know existed which are different levels of time and sales than the bid and ask. I would simply like blue for bid and red for ask, but Ninja offers much more. -above/below ask/bid fore -above/below ask/bid back -ask fore -bid back -bid fore -between back and fore I just want to use Time and sales to see how large any giving buying or selling is I do not want to decode each color. More importantly, in es contracts are only traded at the bid/ask right? What does the back/fore/above/below mean Thanks for your answers and help.
  5. I am new to etf trading and, have some questions regarding FAZ (3X bear financial etf) For arguments sake let's consider my analysis on the direction of the overall market is correct. I think the market is going to drop and therefore was going to purchase FAZ, before doing so I thought the market could go down but many of the banks seem to have gone back to profitability, taking advantage of the volatility. My question is: Would FAZ/FAS be a good way to trade the overall market using an etf that is leveraged. Could strong fundamentals on banks make FAZ/FAS act inversly? I do not want to trade SPY because I want the leverage of FAZ/FAS, I know there is a 3X S&P etf coming, but it is still in the works. Please, tell me what you think regarding my question. Thanks in advance for your help.
