  1. Look at where 2B is, and what the price does at 2B. As far as the orange container is concerned, try to draw the original pink rtl through the points 1 and 3. I hope you'll succeed.
  2. This might provide some help. Note how important THOROUGH annotations can get sometimes . And Spyder has repeated that same thing again and again.
  3. Think in terms of tapes. Start with what is observable. To observe a traverse you need at least two tapes break each other, whereas the volume tells you whether those breaks are noteworthy or not.
  4. I o not know what you are seeing. But you still do not want to annotate all of the tapes in the last traverse to see the things the way the market presented them to you. This is a hazardous journey.
  5. Something to think about. Something to clear up about the pace.
  6. What is your point? Don't show us how witty you are. Just spit it out.
  7. Note how you just omitted to mention VE in your second quote highlited bold and still want it to express the same as the bold stuff in the first quote.
  8. Ok, here is the thing. In order to have a traverse you need your sequence of volume being complete, right? You have it down cold. X2X2Y2X. But there is something else. What else do you need? Your tapes (the price pane). What else? These tapes have to BREAK each other to make a traverse complete and they have to do so in conjunction with volume. What else do you have to pay your attention to when doing your M of MADA? VE right? Why? Because they MIGHT create a new point 3. So in this case your sequence will start anew, restarting your MADA AND replacing your RTL. Why MIGHT? Because not all of VE’s create a new sequence. Some of them are just the remnants of a previous sequence waiting for its completion. So in the example I suggested to work at, the market startet a new sequence at 13:35, but did not do so at 14:05. At 14:05 it just ACCELERATED the comletion of the sequence it started at 13:35. And why? Because it could not complete its 2B before it did its VE of this new sequence. HTH.
  9. One more time... My answer won't give you any confidence. And that is what you need to be able to trade with support, comfort and confidence. Take your answer and apply it to the charts. This is where the confidence will come from. It should work anytime. Do not forget to think about the volume pane. It is still important. See what happens. You are on the right track. One more thing. There might be a kind of rule one could have deduced from the general principles explained in the beginning of the thread, that would go like this: "The market always builds a new point three with every VE it creates." Now you can see what is wrong with this rule. HTH.
  10. There is one VERY important question on the table here. WHY did the market suggest not to move a point 1 of an accelerated traverse (that started at 13:35) to 14:05? PAY ATTENTION to the annotated TAPES. Sometimes the only thing one has to do to solve a problem is to ask the right questions.
  11. Some of you might find this chart from Spydertrader VERY informative. Pay attention where points 123 are annotated because they are the points of a trading fractal.(aka traverse) One can learn quite a few things analysing the green 123 (accelerated) starting at 11:50 (close of the bar) and how they fit into the context of blue 123 starting at 10:00. The next area of interest is the pink 123 and the acelerated 123 inside of this traverse. PAY ATTENTION to the POSITION AND COLOUR of the 123 starting at 13:35 (close of the bar). Enjoy some ahas.
  12. First of all, you should pay attention to the situations where volume suggests an acceleration of a trend and where it doesn’t. Look at the 10:40 (close of) bar. The volume is increasing, but is it really black? In the price pane you see that a lot of volume on this bar is actually red. So you can not have black volume dominance on this bar. Second of all, you can not place your medium 2R at 10:45 because the market didn’t break the container of B2B of the medium lines here. Third of all, why do you continue to ignore the volume behavior in the 10:50-11:00 area? HERE you see an ACCELERATION of the medium fractal trend and this accelerated container of B2B of the medium fractal trend is broken by 11:05-11:10 tape. This is your 2R of the medium fractal trend. The market “jumped” the fractals here and you just had to go with it. HTH I knew this because the market changed pace on 16:35 bar and didn’t return to dominance yet. Look at the price bar and volume. Furthermore all of this transpired in an accelerated B2B container. You have to be very cautious here. The RTH for DAX end at 17:30, so you have to take that into account. Sometimes I continue annotating afterhours for educational purposes only (just to learn the change of the behavior of the market ) but change the annotaions the next day after restoring the RTH of the chart. Sorry if I added to the confusion. The main part was the annotations of the red down channel. HTH.
  13. My answer will not give you any confidence. And that is what it is all about. Think... Look at the charts. It should work anytime. You are right, but do not forget the context,i.e. where you are in the sequence and what happens to the LTL.
  14. Here is my DAX chart with annotations. Only traverse level Gaussians are annotated. The Gaussian line before the last one should be red, sorry.
  15. One more time… It is not ONLY about volume BUT ALSO about price. Think… How do you draw a tape? Where do you place the point 3 of a tape? Since the tape is nothing more then the faster fractal traverse, think about the following questions. How do you draw a traverse ? Where do you place point 3 of a traverse AND what HAS TO HAPPEN in the VOLUME pane for your point 3 of a traverse being in the right place? Why do you HAVE sometimes to steepen your RTL? Now what about the LOCATION of point 2? Does it have to be OUTSIDE of something? Do not answer these questions for me. Think about them while analysing or annotating a chart. Yes. AND where those troughs and peaks are located (see price pane, points 1,2,3 containers) AND what the volume did to price. I can relate to your frustration, believe me. But the GENERAL principles where explicitly explained by Spyder in the beginning of this very thread. You just had to pay attention. HTH.
  16. This can not be a mistake because at the time of annotation you do not have any additional data.It doesn't have anything to do with probability either. The discussions of this type are futile. You want to think the way you think, so be it. You were clear enough. You just confused something about fractals.
  17. No, it doesn't. It only means that you are not interested in knowing how many sequences the market will provide. If you try to predict the number of sequences, then you are right. YOU are dealing with probs. If you choose a faster fractal to trade on, you'll need additional annotations for the even faster fractal then the chosen one. So your MADA will differ.
  18. Actually #1 is the logical consequence. Remember you do not trade in hindsight. So the placement of the medium B2B troughs at 10:25 in realtime is the right thing to do. But you move it after additional data arrives. Now you do not reverse at points 2 of the faster fractal traverses, do you? :)So you just hold. Now look at what develops in the volume pane at the 2B part of the medium lines. (10:35 –10:50) Think in terms of acceleration.
  19. What about the following suggestion: "Try to think now about what the volume trough at 10:55 indicated. And what happened in the price pane and volume pane at 11:05 and 11:10"?
  20. Well, if that was obvious for you then why did you suggest that my first response didn't provide the answer to the question on the table? I guess the next answer is obvious as well.
  21. This is not only about the volume, but also about the price. Hence price-volume relationship. The troughs of the volume correspond to the points on the price pane. If you have 2R on the volume pane, this 2R should do something to the price and trend lines in order to be part of the sequence on your fractal.
