  1. I agree. Open ECry's published rates are lower than that.
  2. To me it seems like the 6E is the only real option when I pull up a DOM. Guess I am too used to the ES.
  3. Not sure how you define 'several times' fs, but here is how it works (direct from Rob): So, you can only hit load more data 100 TIMES PER HOUR before you have to log out and back in.... Keep in mind that when you bring up stuff like that, I am going to verify it with OEC. I suggest you do the same.
  4. Actually atto the volume on the CME futures has me looking elsewhere. I'm a futures trader through and through, so I may just end up back at the CME anyways.
  5. Ok, that makes perfect sense now. In my example, I was short at 106.43 and to exit, I may have to exit at 106.45 due to the 'no commission' FX market. This is good, I am learning more about FX every day. I have a pretty nice looking way to trade FX (all in hindsight) but wondering about the spreads and such eating into that...
  6. I have to disagree FS. The "mods" here are regular people like you and me. They help James out, but they too are entitled to their opinion and discussions. I know you have an issue w/ me since I am a 'mod' of the candle corner, but I started the CC as a way to give back and I "moderate" it but nothing else. If the mods were a paid position, then I would agree 100%. But it is not. It's the community helping the community.
  7. Nice - Ninja would be perfect as I understand how it works. Now... looking for a broker that won't stiff you too much... LOL Not sure I am going to go there, but wanted to see what was out there.
  8. FS, To get the 'too many history requests' you must be hitting refresh much, much more than several times. I have gotten this before, but only after I thought the dom was not updating and it turned out to be my internet connection.
  9. That's what I was thinking FS but trying to get a seasoned fx trader to confirm. There are some differences in FX vs. futures that's for sure.
  10. I didn't want to put this in the other post and have it get lost. Is anyone aware of an FX broker that offers a DOM like what you see in futures? I'm looking for a price ladder function that a standard futures DOM offers. Thanks!
  11. Question for you fx traders - at what point does a trade become profitable? Example - I am demo'ing the FXDD platform and I was in a trade today where price was at my entry level (or supposedly) but it was showing a negative profit... Shorted USDJPY @ 106.43 and when price was resting at 106.43, I was down $20 or $30 on the platform. The $ amount is irrelevant to me, but I'm scratching my head going - if I short at 106.43 and price is at 106.43, how am I down? I am a futures trader by background, so this FX "no commission" stuff is a bit different to me. Thanks!
  12. Method - if you get a blank chart, hit the refresh button. OEC is aware of this and should be resolved in next upgrade. My charts also do the same sometimes.
  13. This is classic. Someone needs to learn the definition of sarcasm. FYI to anyone interested... this guy claims to have spent 35 YEARS of research... and he STILL needs help w/ trading. Hello Train Wreck. Good luck though buddy, sooner or later you might get that trading thing figured out (or go insane). Either way, don't ever give up! PS Brownsfan = Cleveland Browns Football Fan genius. Seriously, is it that hard to figure out what my user name is about??? I guess it was too obvious for this member of Mensa to figure out.
  14. urma - I'm still wondering how there can be a meaningful discussion when the inner workings of the software is proprietary. As I said via PM to you, the software does indeed look interesting but you are asking us to hold a conversation w/ you when we've seen one screenshot and have no idea how the output is constructed. It's similar to me providing a screenshot of my trade blotter of one trade in one moment in time and asking everyone here to talk about the trade... Would be rather difficult.
  15. Nice! Welcome to the forum! Glad to have you here!
  16. I think this is the most interesting thing we've seen here in a while - we have a new poster that also happened to write a poker book (assuming I found the right guy, but I'm pretty sure). New post - http://www.traderslaboratory.com/forums/f34/how-does-this-compare-to-your-4142.html#post41977 His book - http://tinyurl.com/5v4sr3 Now there's something that could bridge together James - we have a poker author here on the forum AND also a trader. Could be fun to interact with him.
  17. PS How is the poker book you wrote? Feel like giving one away to a TL member that happens to play poker? I might know one.
  18. Maybe b/c hockey is so incredibly boring and is a dying league. Don't worry, the NFL starts soon James and you can watch a real sport and league in action.
  19. Let's see - how can anyone here know anything about YOUR post when YOU have failed to detail ANYTHING about it? There's simply nothing here to give anyone a clue about what you are trying do besides find something that is 80% right. Win % is a small, small part of the overall equation, but good luck in your research! Like I said, either a noob (that's my guess) or someone that is looking for a free meal ticket. Either way, waste of time.
  20. I'm curious where you see this discussion going... I assume this is your site - http://www.tradepointtechnologies.com Forgive the skepticism but if you are not here to sell a product, what exactly is the intent? The software looks intriguing but since you are not selling it and I assume will not disclose the inner workings of it, exactly where do you see a possible discussion going...
  21. POKER! POKER! POKER! I vote for a poker forum! :applaud:
  22. If I am going to spend time and money to automate my trading, it will run at 100% automation. If it can't do that, I'm not interested.
