Hi Eigeer I have been planning to do comprehensive VSA for the 3min chart. Please have a look at it and lemme know where I can improve. This is my 4th week on VSA, and I am still to watch a couple of real good videos to improve on the VSA work. 1. Stopping volume. Smart money absorbing sell orders from the sheep. Close in the middle is bullish. 2. The bars before and after 2 shows narrow spread on reduced volume. This foretells higher prices. The buying on high has stopped the down move. This is an up bar closing the middle on volume less than 2 previous bars. 3. Longs from 1 or 2 needs to be protected with tighter stops on this bar, as it shows no demand. This is a test too. A bit scary since a close in the middle or high would have reassured the uptrend. The next down bar is bullish, closing on the high on high volume. 4. Breakout on ultrahigh volume, with close in upper range. Markets despised high volume, as supply creeps in. 5. Stop run on above average volume, closing in the middle. Close in the middle is clearly mo bullish than the previous 2 bars that close on lower range. 6. Testing on no demand. Volume less than 2 previous bars. This would be a low risk long entry. 7. The previous bar made a higher high, on volume much lower than the volume at 4. Combined with the previous bar, this is 2 bar top reversal, on volume that is less than the volume of previous 2 bars. 8. Above-high volume on a up bar. This is normally bearish, but here it reverse the downtrend, and lead to higher prices. Volume is same level as no 5 and leads to higher prices. 9. This is test on no demand, a safe low risk entry for a long. 10. New high on above average volume, closing in upper still fairly weak 11. All session high volume prints, showing that there was buying in this bar closes higher 12. Stopping volume, as next bar is up, though closing on low. 13. Test on volume less than 2 previous bars, no demand.

[VSA] Volume Spread Analysis Part II
humdesggg replied to Soultrader's topic in Volume Spread Analysis
Thanks Kuky for keeping the vsa fires burning here. how do u get the $TICK on your chart? I understand its not part of normal transact datafeed on sierra? The bars u have numbered 1,2 on the 5m chart are weak bars, evidenced in the narrow spread on average volume. Plus both of them seem to a perfect top reversal. Thanx.- 2244 replies

[VSA] Volume Spread Analysis Part II
humdesggg replied to Soultrader's topic in Volume Spread Analysis
Is there a VSA dedicated free tradingroom, where we can meet as VSA traders, so that we can use our various datafeeds and charts to collectively call trades. if there is such a room, could some1 please provide the info. Or else we can look at mirc , in any channel other than othernet, which is congested these days. thanx.- 2244 replies

Could u indicate on the chart where precisely u took a trade, that resulted in a loss. Else it means one has to analyse the entire chart and offer the commentary on all the shorts and longs.- 2244 replies

Guys thanx for the inside know-how on TG. the fact that Gavin is giving away MTM free of charge confirms the suspicion that MTM is largely an informercial to selling tradeguider. Some also claimed that Tom doctored most of the work of Undeclared Secrets. Having seen the VSA stuff for past 3weeks, I dont think u need the software. U cant be spoonfed on pure price action. the only feeding necessary is price, volume and the spread. I will definitely get the dvd's in the next few days, and then use my ensign playback files to practice VSA in realtime, at 5 times normal speed, to train over and over again. All this is cheaper and more solid than the 1k$ I paid for FTS at http://www.futurestradingsecrets.com, a pure piece of junk from Hawaii. -

hey buddy U need to get undeclared secrets, and MTM plus there r tons of videos by tradeguider on youtube. watch them and u can read the setups yourself, saving yourself 3k$ in the process. I nearly falled for the tradeguider joke and arrange a hire purchase with them. of course i will buy it on a firesale but not for 3k. maybe for $300.- 2244 replies

[VSA] Volume Spread Analysis Part II
humdesggg replied to Soultrader's topic in Volume Spread Analysis
I think we are going to have great fun with VSA. I have only read Undeclared Secrets and watch Mr Gavin's tradeguider videos. I am keeping MTM at bay until I do 2 weeks analysis with Undeclared, so that its easier to see and understand the setups when I read MTM. Forex traders, please post your EURUSD 5m charts so that we can compare.- 2244 replies

Metamp the best way to read forex charts is on ninjatrader. u can do this by going to http://www.ampforex.com. sign up for a NT forex demo account, and u can have your charts using gain capital's forex feed. the chart u showed is completely spagetti and unreadable using any TA or VSA. it shouys stay out@!!!!

[VSA] Volume Spread Analysis Part II
humdesggg replied to Soultrader's topic in Volume Spread Analysis
Hey VSA friends I just hinted by a friend at elitetrader not to bother with software, but check out trader's lab, as there is tons of knowledge shared on how to use VSA. I have both MTM and US, but have only read Undeclared Secrets and watch a couple of tradeguider's Gavin's videos at youtube. Right now, the comments are attached in the chart. Please let me know what u guys think. PS this is my 1st and historic attempt at VSA. Pardon the newbie sloppiness hummie- 2244 replies
