Regarding how to succeed. I can't agree with the not paying for a system. I think if someone who is succesfull wants to teach their success it will be cheaper to pay for their mentoring rather than learning the hard way. I think a mentor would be the best way to learn.

I went through this for a few days. I can post whatever I know, please correct if wrong. There are OTC options and exchange traded options. OTC is directly with between parties, I am not aware of how the counterparty risk is managed. Exchange traded is through an exchange, the exchange is the counterparty. ISE offers the most exchange traded options. I searched high and low and then found them back in my good ol' thinkorswim platform. They are traded through USD denominated products: FX SUMMARY You can't trade the underlying, only the options. Looks like they are only traded 10 months in future. The volume & open interest doesn't also seem that impressive.

I have been using esignal forexcharts, they require a $1000 balance and 1 standard lot traded per month. The charting is not bad, but I may go with Ninjatrader charting. Their charting is very nice with the free Gain data source. You need to use 1440 min charts for daily daily, it also has some glitches and the tick / volume doesn't work, but otherwise is pretty good.

$1000 is really the minimum and is kind of where I want to trade. I want to start with microlots. So if you trade 1 microlot with a 50 pip stop it is 0.5%, that is the real way to trade. If I can consistently trade like that, I want to move up. Wish me luck, may take me a few years.

I am interested in the software too, they have a automated strategy based on it now as well. Anyone care to share about that if they have bought it?
