  1. Actually, when I started trading in this manner, I was simply looking for a way to make my plays first thing in the morning, or late in the evening and never mess with those again. I just happened upon a free copy of his seminar at earningstrader.com. After listing to the seminar, I immediately realized exactly what he was doing...and I tried it on my own and darn if it wasn't exactly what I was looking for. I never bought his service or his seminar as a partial seminar was made available to me. This method of trading fit my needs, my character, and my life style....no more, no less. If there are for instance 5 firms to report earnings on April 22, 2009, I simply do an analyst review of recommendations of buy/hold/sell. I choose the one with the highest buy or sell, make the trade, and set an automatic transaction to get out of the trade no closer than 10 days before the actual release of earnings.....if you wait too long, the options will go haywire. It's a quick and easy way to make a buck. If you just want a 25% return, the set your exit as such and move on. I would like to see someone actually papertrade this method on TL...the proof is in the pudding so to speak. Very Best Regards, JPx2
  2. FAPTurbo is my wife's quest...not mine. Although I tried to tell her, she barged in and purchased the software anyway. I do know that with the help of some of my friends on the trading floor, she has learned to turn that package into an advantage. Nevertheless, I should have known better than to post such a thing as I did. I knew there would be disambiguations. Everyone is looking for money in all the wrong places...... As far as I'm concerned, it's your money, your life, and your faculty..... Have a great life and a beer on me. James Posey, (Retired) CFT Columbus, Indiana jposeyx2009@yahoo.com
  3. ....ohhhh.... I struck a nerve Have you checked your trading account..........???????? The truth does seem to hurt. But isn't that what all these "experts" are in business for.....to market their product and make a buck? How many of them, I wonder, ever even use their own software? Instead, their funds are in managed accounts. I don't see them here trying to help any of us with research, development, etc.....instead, we have been their guinea pigs.
  4. Ladies and Gentlemen, I've been trading equities, options, and futures for near 20 years now. I've earned enough to raise my family in a nice atmosphere, sent them to college on those earnings, and still earn a few dollars each week for supplementing my retirement when I want. I have purchase almost every software package, 'guaranteed' indicators, charting programs etc., that I could get my hands on to become the "expert" trader. All that insane work and nothing to show for it except a lighter wallet. If you really want to make money, get yourself over to http://www.briefing.com and watch the news.....especially the 'up-coming' earnings and analyst forecasts. The go buy yourself some options 'At-The-Money' and sell them just before the actual earnings report is published. I guarantee you will make money no matter if your a novice or "expert". If the analyst forecast is below expected earnings, buy some 'Puts'.....vice versa from the above statement. I no longer have ANY TA software, charting software, etc...on my computer because it's all BS. Just check your actual earnings against the time you spent on the software and see how much you have really paid yourself..........

Not so........they are referring to un-educated novice traders who think that Options are an easy quick buck. Like everything else, you need to know your enemy...knowledge is power.
  6. You're not suppose to open it......it's an "EA4" file that you import into Metatrader-4 jpx2

Anyone had any experience with this package? If not, what is considered to be the best options trading software/indicators. Presently, I use NT-6.5 with MB Trading and OptionsXpress. Thx JPx2

  13. I'm just a bum trader, retired and living off pennies as well. However, it would appear to me that some of the comments provided by 'nay sayers' are a bit too rough. You do need to get more results, from real down to earth traders, in order to build your systems integrity. I have had the opportunity to beta test several programs and provide daily results to the programmer. I would be happy to paper-trade your system, then, and only then, put it into my live account to see the actual results. One problem that I've heard often is programmers want us to believe the results we see running their systems in a 'Demo'. Demo's are worthless as they don't have the market players searching the pit for basket trades, trades in 'holding', etc.....they are just waiting to scalp your buy/sell by pushing/pulling trades. A 'demo' doesn't have that market interference so anyone can look good running a 'demo' because no actual trades are sent to the pits. You should have a few honest people.....(still have them sign a non-disclosure & non-compete contract)....to kick the tires and drive it a few miles. Best of Luck, Jim Columbus, IN.
