Dear zdo Your Chinese link refers. This is a truly frightning picture. I remember , in the 1980's , when Japan was so strong . And I tried to follow their management philosophy "First in , first out" Well , the whole thing was a fraud.! Every Jap was in collusion with a bank/ govt/ other. Now , just maybe , China is in the same boat? I am going to be watching this picture. Commodities will collapse !!!!! Kind regards bobc

The recent death of Joe Frazier reminded me of this story The boxer finished the 3rd round, totally battered, cut eye, bleeding nose, bent ear, bruised ribs. (Ask me . I've been there.) His trainer asked if he was OK.? Could he continue? The boxer replied that the other guy had not laid a glove on him. The other guy was a real poluka. The trainer loooked at him and said.......... "You better watch the ref, because someone is kicking the hell out of you" bobc

Hi neg I am sure you are right AND If you were banging your head against the wall and you wanted to stop the headache, what would you do.? STOP BANGING YOUR HEAD AGAINST THE WALL. If you are losing money trading the ES, stop doing what you are doing! Kind regards bobc

Hi phoenix01 Gterps actually mentioned "Outliers", so I cant take the credit. It is an outstanding bit of research. It also shows that the closer you were born to the 1st January, the better your chance of success. I wonder when steve46 was born? Why should you change? The ES is going sideways. Thats a hard way to make money. Find a bull market like commodities or the Australian $. regards bobc

Hi phoenix01 If you know Al Brooks , then you wont take step 4 above . You will wait for an H1 which is a lower high....... a pullback Then enter on the close of the next higher high. But you can enter anywhere, with enough money to take the pain. Concentrate on the EXIT. Thats where you take your profit I would actually suggest you stop trading the S&P As MM says, you need another plan. So find another market Alternatively find a person to hold your hand- not so easy. Befriend Blowfish. I think hes pretty good. Failing all this, go to Al Brooks website, pay $99 a month and watch him trade regards bobc P.S. Reading more books wont help. You need screen time.

Hi Minoo Kevin McElroy's article makes me wonder, is it easier to trade a bull market than a bear / sideways market? I would welcome thoughts on this. I think it is much easier to trade a bull market Therefore I should be trading commodities and not stocks!!!! And by this implication, definitly NOT the Index. regards bobc

How to Distinguish Accumulation/Distribution with VSA?
bobcollett replied to r4bb1t's topic in Volume Spread Analysis
Hi Rabit Your chart does not show the big picture It shows consolidation after a rise in price It looks like you are accumulating at the top of the range BUT There is no evidence of Distribution The price went to a new level It did not break the high points It went up and down in a tight range Thats accunalation that could lead to a new high Then suddenly on the 1st Aug the price fell What happened on the 1st Aug? Volume does not help identify the cause. You need something else to identify this . NOT VSA regards bobc -
Will the Germans Really Bring Back the Deutsche Mark?
bobcollett replied to TheNegotiator's topic in Market News & Analysis
Today I read some interesting information about Credit Default Swaps. As this thread is only visited by intellectuals, I will assume you all know what CDF's are. Now because lending institutions agreed to a 50% haircut against Greece debt, there was no default.!!! No insurance would be paid .No CDF's. It appears that MF Global holds Greek bonds , but thats beside the point. US lending institutions hold 87% of all CDF's . So it looks like the US has been manipulating the Greek fiasco. Germany and France are small fry in this . It looks like US banks could bear the brunt More money to be printed. The US dollar must fall regards bobc -
