    Hi elovemer I trade almost every day. And I even make some money... sometimes. I didn't trade yesterday because of the 4 day long weekend ahead.I expected a sell-off.. My market actually went up on low volume. I expect a gap up on Tuesday. No brokerage in SA offers trading the spx cash index, so why would I want to chart it. It has no value to me.Thats like reading a book on horses when you intend to buy a cat. There are lots of good traders on this forum. And the forum is here to help both newbies and experienced traders.And there are obviously many more newbies than good traders. Were you ever a newbie? I am sorry you think Traders Laboratory offers you so little.I love Traders Lab.I struggled with short term trading until I found this forum.Where else in the world can you get such a wealth of information.....FOR FREE. I see you are reading the other threads. Why? I like reading your posts because they sound like Linda Raschke...... no book, 10 points below the low, etc. And Linda makes sense to me. Now for a bit of morality. Thats giving an opinion you were never asked to give.You strike me as being very sensitive.     Hi Mysticforex, Your chart shows a nice flag BUT with lots of higher highs and higher lows,so a breakout short could fail. So we add another RULE.Wait for lower lows to go short.Even though the trend is down. regards bobc

    Hi Mysticforex And if the market is flat , there is no trend.And thats an important part of Darvas box trading.Now I dont want to move the time to the open because then we will miss the open.So I will move my box to the last swing high/low.Just before the flat market.This could be during the night session or yesterdays close.I like yesterdays close because of my Taylors TT bias.     Hi Igor An interesting post I just wonder if the risk:reward is right. All this work for $300 against a possible $200 loss. I realise its just an example and you could make much more , and you cant loose more than $200. Why not buy the share and set a $200 stop loss.? Save a lot of work for the same result. Well we all have our different methods to make our daily bread. kind regards bobc
