http://mloylo.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html This guy started in August at the firm and has been posting some stuff on his blog.

Have you tried contacting them? Andy Kershner is a former ProTrader owner and a former chairman of Zone Trading Partners, LLC. Both firms were located in Austin. I heard something scandalous occured with his partners at Zone Trading and it closed. Kershner later started up again as Kershner Trading Group. Sorry, I don't have any info on my computer anymore. http://blog.bluestonelawfirm.com/legal-malpractice-news-former-protrader-owners-settle-legal-malpractice-lawsuit.html New York Attorney Malpractice Blog: Former ProTrader Owners Settle Legal Malpractice Lawsuit http://www.traderinterviews.com/programs/TI_03-26-07_AndyKershner.mp3 Here is a quote that I have of something he said to a reporter: "Houston-based stock trader Andy Kershner sees the changes. Six years ago, Kershner was a day trader betting his own money on 20- to 30-point swings in individual stocks. In March 2000, he made a big bet that technology stocks were about to fall, but did it a day too early and lost several hundred thousand dollars. Kershner, chairman and chief executive of Kershner Trading Group LLC, now finances and oversees 90 traders who use computers to make enormous bets on far smaller stock movements, generally one to three points, he said. "Back then, almost everybody traded manually, and they were scrambling and yelling on the phone," he said. "Now you're pushing buttons. You can automate all or part of your trading strategy, and if you don't, you're going to get crushed." The long boom leading up to the 2000 peak made trading seem easy, Kershner said. "Then, you didn't have to be in the right spot to succeed because the market covered up your mistakes. You just held onto it until it came back," he said. Today, "there's not the same euphoria.""

Congratulations! Was it extremely difficult trying to study while knowing that you could just trade for a living?

I've been researching silver lately. I'm thinking of buying silver coins and bullions for my daughters in the name of fun, learning, and investment. I want to buy gold but I'm not sure at these prices. Silver is probably safer. Thanks for the link.

Ya just can't play a good game without a good warm up. Lesson learned: When fingers are cold; turn up the heater.

I fumbled on my keyboard. I tried to exit thinking I was well into the black on YM sh this morning but I was in long. Threw myself off this morning and messed up another trade after that.

Playing online would be pretty cool but I'd most likely get OWNED!!! I'm not much of a gamer.
-
Dang, you guys are quick! I've been doing some light research on it after I posted the thread and I was actually thinking the same as Nick1984. Perhaps I should just buy a new graphics card; however, before I do that, I'll need to address another issue about eye strain from the use of an LCD computer monitor that I'll probably post another thread on. My primary reason for a new game console is for much needed stress relief. I'll probably end up waiting until next year to see how things turn out; however, the intense need of stress relieve may cause me to make an early impulsive buying decision.

I'm thinking about purchasing the 40 gb PS3 or the 360. Which do one do you gamers prefer and why? I heard the PS3 actually has a slight advantage in graphics quality. Based on my personal comparison I believe this is true. PS3's blue ray would be pretty cool to have and it would go well with my Blockbuster membership; however, I'm more concerned about the number of quality games coming out for the systems. I'm worried that I'll regret purchasing the 360 if a lot of games begin to roll out for the ps3.

So, what's up? Any progress? I'm training for a boxing bout taking place early 2008. I've also been training in knife/stick fighting in an exclusive group. It's mostly Filipino martial arts like Kali and Silat if you want to place a some sort of a label or whatever to it.

At this point is doesn't matter. Find your path. Just do it. Nike!

james, don't worry about being small. its got little to do with what you can accomplish. if you box i'd suggest that you also train for the boxing ring, the mma ring, and the street. It will provide a greater understanding of the striking game.

OAC is right about judo Lot of the better fighters at the mma gyms have at least trained in judo in its isolated form. Very strong foundations

I just did a google search on something and it brought up something that reminded me of something..hehe Maybe ethics had nothing to do with it. It was my high level of intelligence. hah
-
whoa...i just saw your profile. Are you much of a skier/boarder? I go to Keystone every year because its a good place for children and families. oh yea...and i think judo is an excellent choice. You will see that the training really helps reflexively. I was involved in a street fight as a teenager and in my good nature I choose to just end the conflict with minimum violence. The guy tried to rush in and swing at me after I diverted his first attempt to do the same thing. I just directed pushed his face up and down. His whole body followed his head. hehe I deflect his two punches and knocked a guy over the front fenders of a car. I could have easily head butted, eye gouged, messed up his knee for life, kneed, elbowed, or just simply out punch the guy. I could have grabbed him and kneed his face. I could have hurt him bad when he fell to the ground as well. I prob should have injured him for life. Sometimes I hate having moral ethics. Good guys lose. It feels like i got the short end of the stick by not taking advantage of the glorious victory that i could have had. Maybe I should have had my "King Leonidas" moment while I was free from the law while I was a minor. He was maybe 2 years older than me and in college so it could have been a real embarrassment for him. *I can't sleep right now because I'm experiencing some stress so that prob explains why I'm being a turd.*

Just pick something and do it and then another do another system if you want too. Let your experience from training lead to other things freely.

james: Isn't it better to run in the morning. The rest of the day you will feel better and it has an effect on your metabolism that you need during your waking hours. Perhaps Nick can comment on this. He seems to know the science behind this kind of stuff..hehe
