  1. I remember when TF used to be ER. It was a beast back then all the time. All I know about TF is that liquidity dried up when it first moved over.
  2. Its been over a decade since I've begun evolving into a day trader. I have never seen a legitimate trading tip source. Only thing I have discovered is the exchange of ideas and perspectives between traders, which in turn, helps me to formulate a trade.
  3. Weekends are not a problem for me. I work on my other career full time from Friday night to Monday morning. Planning on quitting my weekend job in 2013.
  4. For OEC futures: Limit of 10 data feeds. No tick/trin. no DJT. They only accept checks and wire transfers. No electronic transfers. Customer support available through platform chat. i like the charting software. Can render trade reports through the platform.
  5. The only successful trader I knew of used it to trade longer trends i.e. weekly, quarterly. Back when I used to be on the manhunt for indicators, I read a few magazine articles from traders or interviews of traders who used P&F. They may have been in Futures magazine or SFO magazine.
  6. THE PIT movie | Its streaming on Netflix.
  7. I can't believe this. It literally took until the EOD to get to 12425. I've been waiting all day and took considerable losses. It hit 12423 and I had a sell order at 12425 earlier. Actually, I can believe it! It was such a sloppy day today.:crap:
  8. jam_ing, I forgot to add that. Trading provides more time to accomplish other things. That being said, I am going to end the day and taking my daughters to this place: Andy Alligators
  9. MightyMouse, I agree for the most part. I can be a smart ass about it to prove otherwise. I don't help people due to a bleeding heart. I do it for the adventure. On the other hand, my wife does it for both reasons.
  10. GlassOnion, I have a weathly father-in-law (and no he doesn't share the family trust fund). He often solves his problems by throwing money at it as does his older trust fund 'baby" brother. The end result = doesn't know much about anything. Anyway, that is my slighted view of my in-law. Anyway, I'm planning on having enough reserves to bounce back from future drawbacks that could possibly occur. I'd like to join a non-faith based medical mission team or even partner up with some organizers. I just want to partake in the adventure and to be a part of something that can continue to produce well intended effects without my direct intervention. Currently, my wife and I are in planning process for our custom home to be built by next year. 3000-3500 sq ft @ approx $130 sq foot w/ plans for a detached guest efficiency/2 car garage and a pool w/ outdoor fireplace.
  11. As usual with all things, its about keeping some sort of semblance with balance. A big meal would equate to the same effect through a different route.
  12. "Lunch is for sissies!" The Gecko I become a monstrous risk taker when hungry. You have got to eat something proper!
  13. I've been too preoccupied for many hobbies. I train in muay thai/boxing for exercise. I play bf2 on ps3. Its about the only game I ever play. I also pursue education. Yeah, that one is really geeky. Most of my time is spent with my family when I'm not getting schooled or working.
  14. #5 is completely acceptable given that it was posted in the lounge. Something that annoyed me today was the behavior of a customer who was rude to the server during lunch. The manner in which one behaves towards others when in an advantagous position reveals a lot. My in-laws really annoy me. Don't even want to get started on the in-law stories.
  15. Ask any ER nurse/doc/emergency workers. The full moon is a telling sign. It NEVER fails.
  16. Very nice, Daedalus! I've only spent a few minutes browsing the site but I'm definitely bookmarking it for a more thorough viewing.

    Cars

I have an RRS in dark gray. It is truly fantastic until you run into electrical problems. It is hard to get it diagnosed and repaired properly. Many run just as fine as any other car, but there are many that don't relatively to other brands. The people I know with a range rover can afford the high cost of maintenance and repairs that are cost out the wazoo! Just keep it in mind and don't get surprised at the costs.
  18. In the U.S. there are even large hospitals that still function primarily on paper. These old buildings take a long time and more money to get properly wired.
  19. I used to say, "I trade futures" or "I'm a trader."

If they see or have seen my car or house they usually nod their head in approval.

Usually, the response turns into the other person telling me a story about their stock "investments". For instance, a woman with a Phd began telling me about how she lost money on mall stocks and how she thought they would always do well since so many people shop there. Hmm...

    \EDIT:

    :crap:

I posted it in visitor message! oops!

  20. I'm still in the planning stage on starting P90x. :haha: I really need the exercise for my physical and mental health esp before the semester begins. TOG, I know that you know what I mean. I found a new Muay Thai/mma gym that is run by a protege of my instructor. I'm thinking about going there to start up training again but I'm hesitant due to injuries.
  21. Sounds a bit premature to just dive in and trade, but Interactive Brokers is pretty cheap and easy way to get started.
  22. this is like the idea that the power elite are the true people in power in the world. democratic president or republican president...when it comes down to it..it doesn't really matter. reminds me of Bohemian club or whatever its callled.
  23. Pit looks interesting. If my daughter was old enough to play I would buy it. Electronic monopoly doesn't do justice. How can you work your negotiation magic? I won a game of Monopoly recently by knocking off a few players..hehe
  24. Actually, it helped a lot. All the reading and tinkering around in my head boosted my ACT score a lot. Education is always beneficial in some way especially in the long run. Edit: this was just a random late night post
