  1. Thanks to each of you for your thoughts!
  2. I have found many websites with regards to analysis and so forth. Many give their view of stocks. Which to buy, which to steer clear. How can I be sure the authors are "for real"? For example: todaysfinancialnews.com I know, I must do my own dd by reading a companies chart and making my own decisions. However, being new, I don't know what all I should be looking for, therefore, I am wanting to trust others to point me in the right direction.
  3. I've been reading posts of this site and have been able to gleen from others words and experiences. Just not enough to allow me to open my own account and risk my own money. Even paper trading is scary for me as I don't know where the heck to begin! Surely, there is a humanatarian somewhere across the USA that is willing to aid those who want to learn. A classroom setting would be great! I'm NOT purchasing another "I'll teach you to trade" course.
  4. "a person could have gotten any floor member to sign them on as a floor clerk for a few months to learn".=ChicagoTrader When a person who is willing to learn trading, using me as an example, I believe they are looking for hands on experience. Each person learns by different methods. Like me, I learn better by "hands on" experience. People who have not even been around a trading floor or office don't know where to begin in their endeavor of learning. So, they are apt to become "suckers" (me) when choosing a learning avenue. I did not know you could have a floor member sign them in as a floor clerk for a few months to learn. Not that I know a floor member, oh wait, maybe I do, well, not personally, but I have met one, anyway, what better way to learn. I would take the chance!
