    It is considered a stock so you would buy it from a broker with of course a commission!

    Excelllent I was in the bond game for a number of years but just managing them and selling them. The futures part of the game is still new and will be the next topic I tackle after getting a better understanding of stock index futures thanks

    Thanks for the info. I like the system but want to still paper trade for a while longer. I understand how the thing works but need more work on the bells and whistles-- traling stops etc

    Paper trading is what I am using to find out what platform to use and how to use it properly. That is how to hit the correct buy or sell button I made a few mental errors and hit the sell side when I wanted to buy. Glad it was only paper money Right now I am using Ninja Trader and it seems very robust, at least for me

    re tick charts I assume that an 89 tick chart is faster than say a i minute chart. Correct. Does this work for other contracts? What time frame do you use for other contracts? Right now I am attempting to learn about the ES, YM and NQ. thanks

    Thanks Right now it's a matter of getting used to the platform and figuring out the approach to take. For me the learning process is a bit slow but I am learning a lot here

    Hi A new member here but so far have found the forum helpful I am brand new to futures trading although most of my work years were in the investment markets-- portfolio management and sales. I know very little about day trading Right now I am paper trading using Ninja Trader to get a feel for how it works. My question has to do with candle charts. If you plan to try and scalp what is the best time frame to use on your charts? Is it 1 minute, 2 minutes? Another dumb question-- should the time frame differ between contracts--ES vesus YM, NQ? Thanks
