Walter, Was short #1 an acceptable flip trade seeing how it didn’t quite make it to the resistance level I marked and it was only 1 bar? #2 is a better one, although I didn’t take either trade because I only saw it after the fact. I hope that with experience I’ll be able to: 1. recognize these setups in real time at the very edge of the chart, not the middle 2. be confident enough to take the trade(s) Thanks for the help!

I've been having trouble with the YM and it's been really hit and miss for me (unfortunately more miss). Anything out there that doesn’t have wild swings? I’d like to crank out a few major trades, but that all elusive “right methodology†is the key I haven’t been able to find yet. I only have about an hour to find trades in the morning (starting 6:30 when cash markets open) before going to work. Although, I do have a lot of sick time accumulated…maybe I’ll call in and trade all day.

I guess I'm trying to be daytrader by these definitions, but with scalper leanings. I'm only looking for 1-4 trades the morning (it's all I have time for - some of us still have to work jobs we hate for a living), and the targets are usually fairly small (5 points on YM for instance).

Hiya Fellas, I'm not really new here but haven't posted before, but would like to start participating. My background - been trading for about 5 years, but not very well and have not placed a real trade in 6 months (only paper trading). I've read everything about trading, and I know everything about Gann, Elliot, Fibs, VSA, indicators, money management, position size, but there is one thing I don't know - how to make money. Hopefully all you pros here can shed some light on my charts and such.
