  1. Your statements above are contradicting. The first paragraph say the channel change color depending on the slope of the 61.8 MA and the second paragraph say the color changes on a MA crossover. Looking at the screenprints in the PDF, this is obvious that the channel change color based on the MA crossovers. The method also use the DDF indicator which you do not mention in your post. I don't know if the method has any value, but I think if someone really want to understand it, the best way would be to look at the webinar and review the attached pdf. This is clear that based on some of the responses, that things already are getting lost in translation.
  2. Under the "Partners Program" section on IB's website, you will find a long list of applications working with IB.
  3. I think you are confusing trading on the seat of your pants with real discretionary trading. That is why many traders fail with a discretionary approach because they think like you do that it is flexible all the time. This is simply not true. You still need a very rigid trading plan and rules even with a discretionary approach to have the best chance of success.
  4. What's your definition of a decent indicator? Ninja Trader already comes with plenty of indicators.
  5. What is your definition of optimal state? Do you have any research you can point me to that hypnosis/mediation is the best way to get in the optimal state?
  6. Doesn't these two statements contradict each other? If you have a plan with a well defined set of rules, but doesn't address exits, then you only have half a plan.
  7. Why don't you help to keep it going by posting some charts?
  8. While you are questioning other methods based on your believes and books you are reading, people who are using these methods are making money. I rather let my account tell me my method is profitable instead of a book telling me I should not be. If you rather read books and nit-pick about how things really should be calculated...for each their own.
  9. This is one of the drawbacks of Sharpe Ratio in that it penalizes both up and downside volatility equally. Sortino Ratio attempts to address this issue.
  10. Since the indicator exists, obviously someone has found it useful for something at some point. If I tell you that I have found it useful in the past, how does this help you? Are you going to start using it now?
  11. Look at the 20 EMA thread here in the Candlestick forum. Unfortunately, there aren't any short cuts. You will just have to spend a lot of time looking at charts. This is the only real way to learn.
  12. If you read the forex forums on here, you will find several discussions about volume, or rather lack of, in forex, as well as a lot of other really good threads. I'm surprised you haven't read them already.
  13. For any indicator there will be people swearing by it and people saying it is junk. Asking if this is a useful addition, is like asking if a jetski is useful without knowing if you are living in the middle of the desert, or next to a lake. With other words, how useful it is is entirely dependent on the way you are trading and no one can answer that for you. You will just have to look for yourself if this is useful for you.
  14. Why don't you purchase it if you want it so bad? Regardless of the merits purchasing courses, you are asking someone to send you a paid for product for free, which effectively means you are asking someone to help you steal it from the vendor.
  15. Since you have been banned from pretty much any forum out there, maybe this is time for you to pull out that mirror and take responsibility?
  16. You can use plot with a constant value. That will draw a horizontal line, since the value would be the same on each bar.
  17. Maybe because they think it is just fair for them to be compensated for their knowledge and experience obtained through years of studying and research, instead of just giving it away for free?
  18. So all you are looking for is what to trade, when to trade, how to trade and to summarize it for you in a trading plan?
  19. You mean Disney was hit more than other companies out there? Since you have posted this in Wall Street News forum, I think maybe you have meant to post a link to a research report or news flash about Disney which you used to base your comments on. Can you maybe post the link?
  20. You cannot predict with accuracy what will happen in the future if you do X.
  21. Don't confuse gambling with investment. You can say the same thing about playing roulette. And you might even get free drinks.
  22. Please see my post above. The question is over two years old and the original poster not been around for over two years as well.
  23. The issue about the low average savings in the US is not about to the lack of savings accounts and investing it in instruments with potentially higher returns. If they were investing it somewhere else, this will still be considered saving, but they are not. Many are spending more than they earn and living on credit.
  24. The question was asked in August 2006 and the person asking the question has not been around since September 2006. You are a bit late with your answer.
