[site update] New Site Design Launched!
diablo272 replied to Soultrader's topic in Announcements and Support
James, I should have made this more clear in my last post, but that problem only occurred very infrequently, maybe once or twice in recent memory, so I never reported it on my own. But I'll clear my cache, and if it happens again I'll post here. -
This has been asked before...I think the consensus is that there isn't one, but you can make your own.

I use Firefox 3.5.3 and I encounter that problem occasionally as well, but in my experience it will go back to normal if you just refresh the page. -
From Bloomberg: “Rajaratnam is not a master of the universe, but rather a master of the Rolodex,” Robert Khuzami, director of enforcement at the SEC, said at the press conference. “He cultivated a network of high-ranking corporate executives and insiders, and then tapped into this ring to obtain confidential details about quarterly earnings and takeover activity.” from: http://bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=a4lprQ.E3WqE This reminds me of Wall Street (the movie).

You can do that very easily in Audacity. If you download it, spend a little time to get familiar with it, and you'll be able to get exactly what you want.
-
I think the best way to do this would be to record yourself using any kind of recorder, and then manipulate the recording with something like SPEAR or Audacity (both free). You can definitely make your voice sound FAR from human using either of those programs. Audacity is pretty easy to use. SPEAR can take a long time to learn, but you can still make cool sounds with it without knowing what you're doing.

I don't have any experience with Forex, so I can't help you there.

The DOM has nothing to do with your broker, but rather with your platform. There are many, many platforms that use DOMs.

I thought US markets are open on Columbus day?

If you're using the search function, you can quite frequently to dig up old threads that include the term you searched for. And it's easy to post in an old thread at that point, because for me anyway, it's easy to not notice the date of the last post.

Comodo Firewall/Internet Security apparently works with Windows 7, though Comodo does not officially support Windows 7 yet.

Oops, I didn't notice that. Then you might want to take a look at some Asian indices, such as Nikkei, HSI, or KOSPI. Also European contracts such as FESX or FDAX. The Asian ones will be closer to the time you specified. I've recently become interested in HSI (Hang Seng), and the futures contract starts at 18:45 PST, though the cash market opens at 19:00, 15 minutes later. There are several good threads here on pretty much every market I listed above where you can get more info.

I've noticed that I really enjoy eating candy while at the screen, particularly these: Hi-chew - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. But I try to stay away from eating too much candy, so normally I just don't eat anything. Around lunch time I'll usually get something small, like a bagel or a Clif Bar or something like that, but I'm usually not snacking throughout the day, I just drink a lot of water.

Pretty much anything, those are prime NY hours, except you should probably start closer to 6AM PST since most US markets open at 6 or 6:30 PST.

But what makes their results credible? Earlier you inferred that you knew that Bernie Madoff was running a scam, yet he was written about in many publications, so what differentiates him from these "top traders" who you've read about? Are you saying that being a professional and appearing in a book or article automatically makes one credible?
-
But how do you know that they're the best traders in the world? and what gives those traders more credibility than the ones in this thread?
-
Just wondering, how do you know who the best traders in the world are, and how do you know how much they make?
-
"Is this thread all sim? Is it pretend? It's funny how barely anyone has a win/loss percent of anything less than 70-80%. 20 out of 21 profitable days? 37 winning trades in a row? I am embarrassed for you if these are supposed to represent real trades. If you guys are posting this rubbish to solicit traders for your business or something, I am sure you are in violation of CFTC, FinRE rules on communicating with the public." http://www.traderslaboratory.com/forums/103/trader-p-l-2009-a-5521-80.html#post73344 If that isn't your first post in this thread then I apologize in advance.
-
That has nothing to do with my post. My point was that there's no need for you to be so rude, and if it seems like people don't respect you, it's because you are being very disrespectful yourself, from the first post you made in this thread.

MightyMouse: 1. The trade you are asking people to make here is a pretty bad one for someone who is able to trade their strategy profitably because they are making money, and you are not. You're basically saying: "I'll show you how to break even, if you show me how to trade profitably." And yeah, I realize that a lot of people don't mind showing others exactly how they trade. I respect their reasons for doing so, but I am not one of those people, and there are many others who feel the same as I do. I'm sure you can understand why. You should be thankful that brownsfan and others have taken the time to share the information with you that they have. 2. Do you think someone is going to do you the tremendous favor of posting their live trades for you after you flat out accuse them of lying?
-
Just to make sure, are you sure they didn't say 0.72 EURO per R/T?
-
That's a pretty good deal since the exchange fees alone for FESX are more than 1 US dollar per R/T. And by pretty good deal, I mean that it's probably too good to be true, but why not send them an e-mail or call them to confirm? OEC is a reputable broker if that's what you're asking.
-
Good thing I asked, thanks MK.

Would I rollover to the October contract on the morning of 10/1/2009 (Thursday morning) for HSI?
