  1. dalby : I think that what Soul wants to mean is that TA by itself its meaningless.... the market performance as he call it " price is king" is the true reality and TA its just a way of looking at it... thats what I understand as the spirit of the thread... cheers Walter.
  2. I want to add my input... market performs by itself (not by TA), the forces of supply and demand basicly respond to the psicology of the masses... wich is fear and greed... now TA reflects whats happening in a wide variety of presentations, who has the edge ? maybe the aproach that understands that finally what moves the market its the big smart money.... so here on TA you have "aproaches" that do take into acct the smart money and others that dont.... so I cant mix all aproaches on the same bag and say TA doesnt work, because TA with this so diferent considerations have very different outputs.... TA is an accesory.... if you understand whats behind TA (true market performance) then you are near to success.... cheers Walter.
  3. well thats cool boca, like that fire there, looks like russell on fed day...
  4. Market Climate ¡¡¡ Market Climate ¡¡¡ my dear fellow traders.... only a human trained neural net is in conditions to understand it.... sistems and computers will miserably fail.... lol and lol... there is no greater pleasure than to feel the market... once you feel it (click) cant live without it... its almost adictive... cheers Walter.
  5. Horus : Volume analisis is another thing.... vsa tried to put in a can a very sofisticated concept wich is, (from my perspective) very dificult to program on a software.... the volume concepts, by them selfs are worth taking into acct... now they are much previous to the existence of vsa... you can go back to wickoff who actually was a tape trader... and a candle chart plus volume histograms its enough... cheers Walter.
  6. Horus: I did try Tradeguider and Roy Kelly many years ago when I was on the pursuit of making myself a technicall aproach , and I can testify unfortunatly that this softwares change signals of place after the fact.... lol , that was my experience...
  7. yes , esignal would do the data job, then you can feed a variety of diferent softwares compatible with esignal datamanager for MP, ej you can try linnsoft has very good mp.... still esignal is leader on data feed.... cheers Walter.

    My trades

oh, shure you can post... what is nice is if you get involved on research, there are very nice aproaches here at TL that you can capitalize from, black boxes on the long run will also frustrate you.... hope we can interact on technicall issues cheers Walter.
  9. gcb : you can load a workspace on zip file...

uuups, I believe the spirit of TL is research and not following a black box... lol

Pippy : would you share your setups ? will be nice to learn what you do... thanks, cheers Walter.
  12. correct Trader, thats the way we traders read regular or hidden divergences, now the formula you use behind an indicator.... in this case its totaly diferent, so you know your intrinsic calculation is coming from a very diferent and much more reliable aproach, in this case is volume... so finally we are looking for divergences but we are actually analising volume.... cheers Walter.
  13. trader : this twiggs divergence its not regular mathematical indicator divergence, it actually has volume analisis embedded on its calculation, the twigggs formula its not comparing two averages like macd or other oscillators, twiggs has a volume based formula.... so this divergences are very diferent in nature... cheers Walter.
  14. Hi Pivot : a question about your yellow lines on the volume histogram, are they a simple grid or are they bracketed levels or stand dev of x vol period average etc... ? thanks Walter, by the way, each and other presentation are more clear.... cheers Walter.
  15. No Brown, fortunately I am not a divergence trader, I trade an argument from dynamic S&R levels that combined with a divergence setup makes a very powerfull trade... you should notice Brown, I marked big pivots on the oscillator that are on exhaustions areas of keltner, that will make your first prospect pivot on the divergence.... in other words a first significative volume surge on an estatisticall extreme area and as you retest does extremes you get a vsa concept of no supply/demand coming in.... cheers Walter.
  16. Italian: True volume analisis requires Weight.... the only weigth analisis you can put to vbc is time, if you dont use that weight, then its not volume analisis, its a "price action (volume) constructed chart" and you are analizing only price action, wich is OK.. like candle patterns etc... but not really volume analisis.... the fact that the candles are constructed from volume doesnt mean volume analisis.... per example I use tick charts to see the "price action (tick ) constructed chart"... they look very diferent to time based charts and that is a true edge on VBC.. they are not waiting for time to construct a bar.... now thats so diferent to any volume weight analisis... dont get me wrong... vbc`s as tick charts make much better easy to read charts....
  17. no, twiggs is based on MFI (money flow index) , gives a very nice reading on volume.... great edge indeed... cheers Walter.
  18. Hello to all my fellow traders, here I start a thread I believe will be interesting to interact... I know the indicators "alergia" some of you have, and I understand that.... now this indicator its the most near to "non indicator" indicator.... jejejeje.... what I mean is that, it brings a basic information and lowering its input from 21 to 5 as I did, it almost plots a raw data there wich is much reliable than using so long (preconcieved, forced inputs)... I dont like Hype, I dont trade hyped... I like true facts... but this indicator (not much divulged) really shows money flow.... and when we study volume, we are actually studing money flow... and want to relate it to price action, wich finally gives the trader a definitive edge over the crowd.... I dont know if you all notice that most of the volume setups tend to be countertrend.... well yes, who cares, finally what is trend or countertrend really... if things go on the right direction they are on MY trend.... so here I come with a Divergence aproach, on the extremes of price action, wich I like to see that thru a keltner band, and this divergences call my atention that they show how this "retests" and even more " false break outs" get so clearly presented with this indicator wich denounces the lack of suply or demand with a divergence.... now that its the setup I see with this indicator, the second thing I see is a nice timing tool as he crosses the 0 line.... something like a Delta Shift (delta oscillator 0 line cross) wich calls very nice entries on trades... I did some experiments on 110 tick chart on YM and also a more long term 5 minute ym chart, on both cases, with diferent horizons this setup works very very nice... I attach first examples, will keep adding, I expect your inputs so I can grow with you.... cheers Walter.
  19. I see, will be interesting to see what happens on does highs... thanks Irushing for the information.... cheers Walter.
  20. My question was about buying SPY as you mention, would like to know now that you mention it, and considering you have a much greater knowledge on selecting a product to trade than we average traders...what edge SPY has to offer, thanks Irushing... cheers Walter.
  21. Don : here is something I didnt share today with you because I wanted to post the indicator previously this evening on TL.... its that wonderfull "twiggs" divergence... since I study volume it has been the most easy to read thing.... till now.... cheers Walter.
  22. Irushing : would that be a buy and hold suggestion ?....
  23. Since I started to study volume more seriously, I came across a great amount of alternatives on how to profit from this type of analisis. One great indicator that I came to is the "Twiggs Money Flow" , developed by Mr Collin Twiggs and shared by him freely... first you must understand the origin on the MFI (Money Flow Index), here is a nice explanation of it Money Flow Index (MFI) - StockCharts.com , Mr Twiggs did a very nice upgrade to the indicator wich he explains here Incredible Charts: Twiggs Money Flow the indicator was translated to TS code by Galaad at TS forum, and I did some visual touches to make it more easy to read and changed the default setting from 21 to 5 (an input I find more adapted and usefull for daytrading) , I will open a diferent thread on the usage, I find this one a true gem if its properly used... it can make so clean and easy volume readings... enjoy cheers Walter. TWIGGS MONEY FLOW 2.ELD
  24. here I add a Bentley concept... to bad they are not for sale ¡¡ any way could we aford that ? jejeje cheers Walter.
  25. well very nice bikes ¡¡¡ here I add a new one...
