  1. Have a nice weekend Don... I think we got something here... cheers Walter.
  2. Here is another clear example to consider this super runner exit... made 30 pips against a 6 pip stop uhuuu... 1:5 RRR... sweet.
  3. Yes... I personally manage the stop placement X amount of ticks below the Entry pivot... so in this case it doesnt matter if it was right on the S&R level (first example) or a little further (second example)... I would not take the S&R level (himself) for my stop criteria.. but the pivot previous to the entry minus x amount of ticks/pips.... I believe that if that pivot from the entry gets swinged in oposite direction something with the trade its just screwed... Using a cci recrossing 0 for stops will normally be on that level right below your entry pivot... So in this very intersting example you see a flip that is taking off not exactly on the S&R level... I would still take it because your stop would still be competitive right below the pivot... hope this answers... cheers Walter.
  4. Ok Dog now I start to see what you are talking about... you can attach here your charts... this is an explanation on how to do it http://www.traderslaboratory.com/forums/f30/how-post-chart-properly-805.html cheers Walter.
  5. good question there Don, that would require some meditation from my part and some cat walk on the park... taking a fixed target sometimes it sounds to me a little "pretensious"... thats why I like not to establish any particular target but really gow with the flow and being trigered by a technicall factor... In terms of math yes, would be ideal, in real world... I dont know...I like the technical triggers... any way some meditation will make the diference... Think momentum here is the final key to success in terms of RRR... being able to cash in does big moves will make a tremendous diference... cheers Walter.
  6. Hi Don, I think the trade was ok... the key would be to find a way to stay inside all the way down... Should we start considering the fact that if we are outside keltner we asume we are having momentum.... so... from there on momentum may build or not.. if 50 % of the position was closed at the scalper exit... you already have a "free trade" (thanks Irushing for concept)... so now staying inside will be the key if momentum builds up... So far in terms of exits, as scalper I am I had suggested the use of very small targets... now looking at forex and how forex develops momentum in such a way should we consider a diferent alternative to stay inside longer.. Here is mi first idea: Super Runner = coming back into keltner... wich could be a 1/3 last 3rd exit. So here would be the proposed complete exit idea : 1rts Scalper exit 1/3... 2nd runner exit another 1/3... 3rd super runner last 1/3.... technical criterias : 1rst scalper exit with cci 1rts hook from 100 level 2nd runner exit with cross of oposit 50 level and 3rd super runner exit at re-entry of white keltners... Other combination could be just 50/50 scalper and super runner... Tell me what you think... this are just ideas... cheers Walter.
  7. My coment Dog is that I would strongly recomend you using visual aid (charts)... we are all analist here and our language is in charts... very dificult to understand what you are talking about... seems interesting but dificult to follow... thats my 2 cents... take it or leave it.. cheers Walter.
  8. Hello fellow traders, today friday june 8 has been a very dull market almost all day, until momentum showed up for a nice clear flip... happen to be also a super coil break... flips on days like this are not that frecuent, I thought I would not have any... cheers Walter.
  9. Nice Brown, only that what you are doing its a complete incognit... as I asked before I will ask you for the last time and will not bother any more... is it posible for you to post a chart on the premium sector of TL with arrows of your trades, without any explanation... so this weekend we can have some fun trying to figure out your aproach... You will not loose anything, maybe we gain some... congratulations Brown for your achievments.... cheers Walter.
  10. steph : should you consider trading forex when you are relaxed at home ? thanks to Don I am finding that forex works like a charm on "flips"... thats my 2 cents for you... cheers Walter.
  11. Hi nickm : we found out that the histogram of this indicator is exactly the same to volume... you can make a comparisson adding the volume indicator... So we came to the conclussion that this was not a Tick Delta but a Volume Delta... cheers Walter.
  12. Thanks for that info Don... That +1 pip are you referring to the spread between bid/ask ?... I understand you can also get inside that spread in pipetes (ej 1.32334) On high liquidity hours does the spread get less than 1 pip in pipetes ? thanks Walter. PD: did you see the chart with the lsma exits ?
  13. Yes, I have an acct at oanda... but will probably try efx as I like the ecn concept where there is no deal desk pricing... anyway I calculated their comisions and its equivalent to 1 pip would that be correct...? I think that with flips as the ones you are showing me... there is great amount of pips to be made ¡¡¡ cheers Walter.
  14. Don : I see you have an lsma tracking band down there... have you noticed how perfect pitch exits they called ? cheers Walter.
  15. My Lord Don ¡¡ beautifull trades there... I am seriously looking at forex charts from here on... I am coming to a serious hipotesis that forex has even better performance for "flips" as it has such a respect for S&R levels... Defenitily 1 min is a nice time frame... I atach an eur/usd of what happened earlier to todays eur post from yours.. in this chart I dont have cci nor keltner its a free web chart... used a stoch , just performed swift... great post Don... keep them coming, I also decided to keep this flip thread alive... probably will also start trading forex again... its been 6 years since I dont make a forex trade.... thanks Don ¡¡ cheers Walter.
  16. Yes Don, it makes sense... similar to what I am doing now... I get out on two diferent exits, the scalper exit and the runner exit ... without changing any stop... I do get out 2/3 position on scalper exit and 1/3 on runner exit... now I like the idea you suggest of taking half and half... It could have much better $ results taking the runners with more money comitment... In terms of technicall exits : scalper exit = first cci hook from 100 levels Runner exit = cross of oposite 50 level... (this ones are the ones that make money on momentum )... I like your 1 min time frame... I see a very clean chart and the momentum pips are very nice... good job Don ¡¡ cheers Walter.
  17. Brown :The output of your criteria its logic... you made money and your criteria is being validated by that fact... now if today you touched lets say 4 points... kept trading and went down to 1 point... maybe you would start thinking twice about using daily targets... So if your technique can handle diferent hours of the day, and still be profitable... YES... keep them coming, if not... you will eventually consider taking a daily target and trade only on the most confortable time of the day for your aproach... there is a great deal on the cuality of your technicall aproach on this issue... its like a safari... if you have a 4x4 that can handle any terrain, you will keep going... if you got an old jeep with some oil problems you will think twice before continuing... I asume your method is superb... im still curios about it... dont forget about your poor friends here at TL :o jejejej.... cheers Walter
  18. Great Don..¡¡ you could still have a runner there until it crosses the +50 line above... cheers Walter.
  19. Today June 7, the day started without momentum, so flips wherent there, but as the day evolved some momentum showed up, so flips did... cheers Walter.
  20. If I make 7 small trades... I already consider myself scalper... its my case... because the span of the trade its really small I dont think I am using "daytraders" techniques at all... I deserve to be called a scalper even thought I dont make that "much" amount of trades....
  21. Ok... maybe you can post some chart at the premium section of TL with some arrows of where your trades wher without any explanations, so we creative people can have some fun this weekend figuring out aprox. what you are doing... cheers Walter.
  22. Brown : I dont know if you will ever share your setups, but I would love to learn them... should you consider this thread about sharing.. http://www.traderslaboratory.com/forums/f96/altruistic-traders-why-1871.html as too my experience I had only been capitalized sharing my entire setups... cheers Walter.
  23. He can do ok with 5 tick target and 3 tick stop.... anyway I would add a runner for momentum conditions and let this runners profit absorb future stops...
  24. Brown, your clasification is about how many trades the trader takes, It obviously discounts the target of each trade... You can have diferent combinations there : 3-4 trades with small targets could be scalper but 3-4 trades with large targets.... could be daytrader... So kind of dificult to put a name to it... I asociate scalper with low targets, not necesarily large amount of trades... cheers Walter.
