Sorry to hear that Don, and I hope you really get better... Nice charts there, I see you made a 3 hours FHR previous to London open... would you still be looking at the break of this areas ? cheers Walter.
-
James , do you know whats going to be the price range there on the US for this new BMW ? looks very cool... cheers Walter.
-
Thanks Brown ¡¡ and I wish you a succesfull week too... be it trending or be it cycling... both conditions can be rentable... cheers Walter.
-
I like that 89 sma... very good performance indeed ¡¡ you could also make that keltner 89 so you will have a more simetrical view of the bands with the ma... cheers Walter.

Yes Raul thats fine ¡¡.... the system can be traded in diferent time frames, thought time frame selection will depend on the traders personality... I would love to see some of your charts on this time frames you are looking at .... feel free to post here... I love to interact and see what other traders are able to do with the same concept in diferent instruments and time frames as also see posible optimizations on this concept... cheers Walter.

Hi Moneymarkets and welcome aboard ¡¡ The above chart is a YM 55 Tick with Keltner exponential bands 100/ 1 and 2.5 atr... cci is 14 and 6 (optional)... This charts are the same for : flip, false break and lazy trades (all in diferent threads)... hope helps... cheers Walter.

Yes Raul... normally at this point I am tryng to exit at least with a 1.5:1 RRR... normally my stop is at 5 ym points...(other side of entry pivot) so I try to take at least 8 points profit on this trades, obviously some times I get much more... but they perform pretty nice... glad to interact Raul ¡¡ cheers Walter.

Let me get this straight... ART is good if YOU are good... I dont say its a bad software, it has certain creative things BUT it will not give you the holygrail by no means as their publicity looks like... any way if you guys want to give a try its 600 bucks... now they claim that this 600 bucks trial its not enough to understand the system... in that case they should not sell this "half" information because its sincerily useless.... thats my input here... cheers Walter.
-
Ok here are some more abc`s today as we started heading north... notice in this case I did the timing with the 0 line cross ( more conservative ) as we can expect more noise at this time of the day... cheers Walter.
-
Feel at home Raul... interactions are welcome from all perspectives... and its nice to see you arround.... cheers Walter.

This is one nice sweet ABC I did today... cheers Walter.

Ok... so far at this point of my Forex research I must admit that in terms of FHR trades the best ones have been the flip type setups that happen outside the FHR range (see example below ) It is a very common pattern that happens just about every day... my struggle so far has been with a precise and at the same time non noise type of timing... I started obviously with CCI`s and lately had been experimenting with some other oscillators... On the examples below I show some examples of FHR flips with timing using an stochastic and a fancy Laguerre oscilator... So far this is one of the setups I am monitoring... will also share a new bizarre idea on my ideas thread here http://www.traderslaboratory.com/forums/f24/walter-s-first-forex-research-various-1916.html cheers Walter.

jejejej good one Robert ¡¡ ... well thats part of aging uhh ?... any way best times should be today... cheers Walter.

Thanks for info... at this point I am just trading YM... got used to it and it still pays the bills... cheers Walter.
-
Does someone know what is Russell`s fate at this point ? Will it keep trading ? until when ? etc etc.... if someone is more informed than me, I will appreciatte this information.... thanks Walter.
-
Are you experimenting something similar to this on a cycle Day ? Well you should seriously consider trading "False Break" trades... they have a very nice performance on cycle conditions... Here is an example today : cheers Walter.
-
Hi Haub.. I normally place stops below/above previous pivot to entry... they normally give a good RRR... hope helps .. cheers Walter.
-
jajaja... now you already have 10 % IQ Tony ¡¡¡ jejeje.... nice charts there Tony, keep them coming... I see you are playing the Value areas levels... How would you use CCI on your trades ? cheers Walter.
-

Ok.. on this FHR context I am looking for a posible "trend trade" type setup... I have this Long red average and this other two black and yellow averages, they givea very simple trend definition... Once in the europe session we expect nice moves, we can time entries with this CCi... exits could be handled as much profit possible (ideal scenario) so we can have a nice RRR... I attach indicators and template.... I expect comments for optimization... cheers Walter. New FHR trend Trade.zip

Here I found a nice indicator that plots a background of the FHR automatically... the first square its europe first hour of trading, the rest is until US market closes... cheers Walter. ##BreakOut_BOX_5_Asian_Session_HLbox_SCREEN_TEXT_indicator.zip

Holding yourself accountable - idea...
walterw replied to brownsfan019's topic in Trading Psychology
I like that one Unleashed... thats a very nice way of being helped and help others, at the same time be accountable... we all can write down statistics without any proof, I can tell you I made 70 YM point today and used 40% setups... ??? now If I show you my trades on a chart it gets much more accountable... thats my two cents here... cheers Walter.
