I think just about the same... here was my first consideration on the topic http://www.traderslaboratory.com/forums/f32/is-ym-the-next-russell-1965.html seems like I am not the only one to smell this crazy YM... cheer Walter.

Oh YES ¡¡¡ we will party hard with James there... it will be great ¡¡ jejeje cheers Walter.

Should we test also if that cousion makes breaks more reliable ?
-
Are you considering the parabolics on 2 min for exits ? they look very nice...
-
Ok... I did look at your chart and compare to my raw bars charts from my dom and yes its quite very well correlated... What really happens here is that noise its been absorbed and at the same time there is not excesive lag going on... so you can actually position yourself on the clean swings of price action... Could you post a chart explaining this entry timing you are talking about ? see if I am interpreting you correct... I am thinking on testing Sierra... do you know if the 30 day trial of transact could be good in order to have data for the 14 day trial of sierra ? thanks so much, I am very glad to be able to interact with you, cheers Walter.

Hi Don... quite a challenge here... you know I think that we are experimenting a high rate of succesfull days... so I was thinking this ideas : 1rst : backtest performance with 15 pips vs 10 pips... see if its still good performance... if its good we would have a 50% + income on the entire ecuation... 2nd : establish stops on the oposite extreme of the range (large stop, agressive) or on the 61.8% (less agressive)of the range... 3rd : a good (conservative) stop could also be -15 pips and the RRR would actually happen by the + amount of positive days versus negative days... so three alternatives there... All raw ideas here... tell me what you think... cheers Walter.

I like to see this specific timing Dog... thanks Walter.

Excellent Gary ¡¡ very nice inputs there... thanks a lot, cheers Walter.

Nam, I had just about the same experience like you... and CCI is a powerful indicator, but I knew I had to learn what was happening on the price pane S&R , price action etc... so I also did open myself to new frontiers and I carry the good part of CCI timing methods that so far I believe they are very easy and straightforward... now understanding price action has been so reliefing... at woodies club they trade blinded about whats really happening on the price pane and I knew that was not a good path... happy to share some very similar experience with you... cheers Walter.

Another question Raul here... the actual plot, obviouly its not the traded price so : how much lag are you having with the real price ?... is it posible to plot the raw bars and this HA bars together so you can compare real price vs this cool HA bars ? I am as skeptical as you are and also very surprised with so nice plotting... I am familiar with HA but not this particular "leading/smooth" HA... cheers Walter.

Trading with Market Statistics. IV Standard Deviation
walterw replied to jperl's topic in Market Profile
Are you using the VWAP that is on tradestation boards ? and from there on aplying sd ?... -
Ok Raul let me get this clear... re-paint or change color... once the bar closes does it stays on that color and never changes again color ? A healthy paint bar is this : it may change color while the bar is still working, once it is closed, the color should not change any more for that "past/ closed" bar.... A Tricky paint bar wil "re-paint" that means that even thought that bar already has closed, maybe some time in the future it will be plotted on a diferent color... in that case historical information on chart its not reliable... So again my question : does it re-paint ( tricky) or does it stay the color for good (reliable) ? cheers Walter.
-
You could actually time your entries on the second red bar after a pullback there.... just an idea.... cheers Walter.
-
Raul : when you are reffering to "real time" would that be the fact that once a bar gets closed it wil not repaint in the future ? so what you see is what you get ? It just looks too good, you could perfectly time your trades with the color change and vuala ¡¡ cheers Walter.

alias Delta jejeje...

Its clear here Don that we have a good technicall argument : breaking of a very important range ok... on the other side we have a very good statisticall performance with a fixed profit (10 pips)... wich I am very pleased to see such performance and also would love to test at least one year of data... the only component missing here would be how stops will be taken and what degree of tolerance and RRR we would have in order to keep this stats on our favor... the 12 hs suggestion I dont see any edge on it... it will probably keep you out of some very good trades.... So making some reflexions here, this system could clean ROCK ¡¡ I think we need a good stop criteria and we are in bussiness here... Nice job Don ¡¡ keep it up man ¡¡ cheers Walter

Ok... on that scratch trade July 23... how and when would you take losses.. thanks Walter.

I did take a look to the ino tv presentation and really it was worth the hour... very nice presentation ¡¡ refreshes the basics and encourages to the simple old good trading methods... I truly recomend it... cheers Walter.

Hi Abe... dont worry be happy ¡¡ you are more near to become a good trader ¡¡¡ WOW ¡¡ you know this type of days DO build a trader... so be happy man ¡¡ My two cents here... cnbc forget about it... it want make you a penny and yes it will distract you... Second : this frase "feeling" bearish.... nope... no feelings here, pure technicals, you can get very wrong feelings about the market and you are having BIAS to one of the most unbiased bussiness in the world ¡¡¡... markets can go anywhere ¡¡ so Technicals will tell you very easy straightforward trend directions... Third: Entry vs Stop vs Exit = RRR... live or die ¡¡ so before opening ANY position you must know what is your RRR or you will not be able to manage properly a trade... Happy for you man, you are more near too success, you had the balls to share your hard times, in some weeks or months you will be sharing your success... keep it up ¡¡ cheers Walter.
-
Nice Charts Raul... did you try how the 144 tick would look with that heikin ashi ? would like to see some of that... by the way I am trying on 110 Tick since your input and its much more robust... thanks Walter.

Some of todays ABC`s so far... Timing entry on 0 line cross and exit (scalper exit) with 100 level re-cross... cheers Walter.
-
Aha ¡¡... so you would take break of FHR range and target a fixed 10 pip target ?... how will you manage stops ? sounds nice and simple... cheers Walter.
