  1. Certainly it is taking much more shape as the tick charts make more efective timing charts... About the exits I would tell you that the red area of the rainbow its good... here I post charts with comentaries, I like what I see... basicly the vmar Icons are created on the 5 min chart and the timing happens on a smaller tick chart where so far the best entries happen when the cyan line gets outside the rainbow.... now we had a case where there was almost no pullback, in that case Unicorn timed his entry between the cyan line and its black signal ema 3... agresive but if there was good momentum it was the last chance to take the train... With all this nice examples we can elaborate into some more solid "setuping", "timing" and "exit" criterias... "stops", I would recomend the chimps universal stop system... cheers Walter.
  2. I will test that... thanks Sparrow...
  3. Yes Agustin... I believe that taking stops from price action criteria is the most easy way and at the same time best RRR... take care man... cheers Walter.
  4. Great job Sparrow ¡¡ now the rainbow doesnt plot anything... maybe I am not using the correct inputs to it... no hurry on that Sparrow as I am also creating a rainbow out of the bands indicator... thanks so much for this ¡¡ cheers Walter.
  5. yes, very nice Sparrow very good looking indicator... had been testing ccit3 and works ok as well... So now I will get inspired and prepare the final template for this... The nice edge we get on NT apart of this nice variations on the vma`s is the tick charts... can make timing very competitive... also nice for scalping on some volatile pairs like eur/jpy... Thanks for this contributions Sparrow ¡¡ cheers Walter.
  6. This ticks are very slow on forex compared to futures, so they would be the most near to a 55t on futures... cheers Walter.
  7. It will depend on the pair, but basicly 2 or 3 pips below/above the pivot will make it... cheers Walter.
  8. And I like that red Sparrow ¡¡ no needs to fool arround programing the rainbows colors ¡¡ cheers The Happy Chimp...
  9. Looks like we are gonna have it on NT ¡¡ thanks Sparrow ¡¡ here is a very first screenshot : once again collaboration wins ¡¡ I am so happy to be surrounded by great people with great actitudes ¡¡ cheers Walter.
  10. Very Nice Sparrow...¡¡ good base here... and yes I am impatient¡¡ :bang head: jejeje cheers Walter.
  11. So let me get this right Unicorn... on your first version you had this inputs then : cyan : _ema periods : 3 _adx periods : 5 _stoch periods: 5 red: _ ema periods :5 _ adx periods :5 _stoch periods : 5 now with the second version you could input separately adx and stochs... would that be the evolution there ?... thanks Walter.
  12. Unicorn : I am kinda thirtsty for some of your charts... can you post some so I can comment on them ? by the way, do you have forex data there ? if you do, can you also post some eur/jpy 5 min 1 min and 55t ? thanks Walter.
  13. So far Bruce, you created an F1 on vma`s... no frustration on that man ¡¡ would you be willing to migrate to Ninjatrader ? cheers Walter.
  14. yes same increments of 2 all the way too 100... maybe the colors groups differ a little but no big deal... Thanks Unicorn.. cheers Walter.
  15. Interesting Soul... on scalping some times this unresponsivness is a reason to get out... still I am more inclined to stay in while my pivot is intact... for me price action is king ¡¡ and pivots give us a great information on that.. I add here a video on this... and let me publicly say thanks James for this great functionality off being able to upload Videos ¡¡ makes the interaction process much richer ¡¡ cheers Walter. 16. Ok I see... now from that base line (red line) would the rainbow averages be 2 , 4 , 6 , 8 etc until 100 ? or what numbers exactly... thanks Walter.
  17. I explain my stops Here http://www.traderslaboratory.com/forums/f24/chimp-s-universal-stop-system-2754.html cheers Walter.
  18. On this thread I explain my universal stop system... Why universal ? because whatever type of aproach or setup I use this stop system still its valid... so when I design a new x setup, I dont need to design a new stop system as I always use this very same system wich I find it very reliable... Basicly when you take a trade, you have an argument for wich you took the trade... so a stop for me is the absence of that original argument that got me into the trade... I do believe in price action... and price action has to be measured in the relationship between moves and pivots... Pivots swings are key "events" on any price action reading... When I open a position, I normally do it on an inflection point (pivot).. so the inmediat pivot where I took my position is KEY for me... a swing of that pivot against me will normally invalidate my argument for wich I took the position... so that makes a stop... So basicly my stop will normally be some pips/ticks below the pivot where I took the trade... very simple... very Tight too, for a nice RRR... So this describes how the chimp gets stopped... cheers Walter.
  19. Unicorn : what are the ma`s increments to form the rainbow from 1rst yellow all the way to the magenta ... ? thanks Walter.
  20. NT has already included Gain forex data... now, there is one parameter where I choose ninjatrader servers and get historical data (up too 2.5 years)... much better data also... really its a very friendly platform.. Take care Blu ¡¡ cheers Walter.
  21. This is great Sparrow ¡¡ I am testing them right now... Now let me ask again inputs : Unicorns _Cyan line _ Red line would the rainbow be built with the ma periods ? thanks for this great contributions ¡¡ cheers Walter.
  22. Unicorn, what datafeed are you using for the currencies futures charts ? thanks Walter.
  23. Hi Bruce... Ninjatrader would be the way... it has tick charts and its free, also forex data is free there... so far had tested quite a lot and has a very friendly charting functions and no connection issues (very important )... I would love to get a chart on Ninjatrader similar to Unicorn`s on amibroker... hope we get there... The edge of using Tick charts on forex is being able to get a very good precise timing... even better than the 1 min we actually have on mt4... I dont know how their coding language differs to mt4... but if we could migrate there, it would be worth the effort eventually... cheers Walter.
  24. So Bruce... the Midas bug byte you ?... jejejej we can open a new thread if you wish on this, so we dont get mixed... I got badly bitten by midas too jejej.... anyway vma`s do rock man ¡¡ In the next weeks I believe we will have a complete finished structural system arround vma`s and obviuosly each trader will have some nice alternatives to suit their tastes... By the way, I smell some of our folks will also buy some bmw`s series 6 soon ¡¡ jejej I like the convertible one ¡¡ jejej... take care budy... cheers Walter.
