Using the zigzag for choosing pivots its a good idea... I remember, when I did some experimets I used some fractals as well... I see you have this external lines, how do you get them plotted ?... nice inputs Benssol... cheers Walter.

Thanks for this info Sparrow ¡¡... So he was already programed into NT, I am testing him right now... for forex, there is some volume data, so its not to be dissmised... I will contact this guys on NT and see if we can create a version that could select time and date where vwap could start its calculation... this could be a possible first step to midas (post #445).... Thanks again... cheers Walter.

Thats great Armand... I am testing today a nice counter divergence scalp trade using BOP (Balance of Power)... that combines divergences with M`s as well... will post tonight... cheers Walter.

Nice Benssol ¡¡...and welcome aboard.. would be interesting if we could expand the topic right on this thread... As I mentioned before, when I see a chart and I want to get started, the very first question would be, wich pivots should I correctly choose to draw the pitchfork... could you give us some graphic examples on this topic ? so we can learn how this is correctly done... would be really great ¡¡ thanks Walter.

Hi Sparrow... I was thinking on a code that could be much more powerfull if we could get it on NT... I dont know if its possible, but looks like NT has great programing capabilities... I dont know if you are familiar with Jerrys Statistical work here at TL... for example this are a couple of threads from him http://www.traderslaboratory.com/forums/f6/trading-with-market-statistics-i-volume-1962.html http://www.traderslaboratory.com/forums/f6/trading-with-market-statistics-ii-the-1990.html http://www.traderslaboratory.com/forums/f6/trading-with-market-statistics-iii-basics-2008.html and this goes all the way to 11 threads onthis great aproach... he actually did an excellent research on how to use vwap and sd bands from vwap... combined with the pvp ... I personally think he lacks good timing tools in adition to his excellent setuping method... If we could have his indicators into NT, I would be inspired to make a fussion of vma timing methods into all his great setuping wisdom... On this other thread we have some nice info arround the vwap programing topic http://www.traderslaboratory.com/forums/f6/vwap-q-and-a-and-how-2563.html If this could get done, my first research would be directed into futures on this idea... So this is just an idea... if its possible to take the challenge, you tell me, no hurrys here... its just a nice project I would love to experiment a fussion of methods... take it easy.... cheers Walter.

In the past I did study the entire aproach... liked the logic behind... never used due to the subjectivity of selecting "wich" pivots to draw this lines... I think that with screentime this pivots selections may become easy, as anything in life... my two cents, cheers Walter.

And a video here... must confess, very confortable chart... cheers Walter. Some scalps.swf

Yes Armand... I try to trade on the right side of the magenta... centrifugal... cheers Walter.

One thing I had been looking today is how you can time entries and exits with the green/black lines of our nice clean chart... on some situations it will call fore some tight stops, but look how nice large exit keeped you inside all the way down... some other trades so, cant be more simple uhu ?? cheers Walter.
-
Nice to hear that Sundowner... I asume it was using high timeframes... could we see some charts of that ? it would be inspiring to see it... thanks Walter.

Thanks Agustin for this comentaries... the chimp will be out for some 15 days now in terms of forex... he will be working on his final presentation (new thread) where he intends to make a very clear presentation of his forex method wich he will stick in his forex trading... so for the sake of not leaving without any postings this days, I will be posting my futures scalps with this little method .... after that I will not post more futures charts, do new forex thread and post consistently my forex trades... thats my agenda on TL right now.... cheers Walter.

yes some kind of macd... I agree vma already tells a lot... no needs to go bald uhuu ? the currency analisis is a nice concept, so far I believe one of the best soft on that issue is leveragefx (topgunsoftware) , I will probably test them in a near future... but for now I am on vma`s... Bruce if you find some good formulas for mt4 it will certainly be interesting to look at... cheers Walter.

Hi Unicorn... I did a lot of testing... very atractive stuff... but on the end I finded that it was more reliable to use two separate vma`s and watch the relationship between them and NOT the vma and its hull signal... the hull is an average that overshoots... this has some good and also bad effect on timing aproaches... when volatilty is low it may be very interesting giving tight entries.. on the oposite condition, testings say its not conveniant... So you see, not all ideas have success... what I am actually working on is in finally settling down to the vmar icons and do a final optimized version on each component readings... my actual crisis relies on wich platform should I do this final product as mt4 has a lot of pros/cons and NT has nice tick charts but data issues makes it seriuosly not reliable... will see... On the other hand I am working in a new "ICON" presentation that will end with a concept mambo that I feel I am confusing people instead of helping... So I will try to step aside for maybe 10-15 days now and come back with some good solid stuff that will really rock... a product that will be the complete resume of all what has been dealed so far, but in a more didactic and functional presentation... that traders will understand the concept more clear have a pre-digested alternative for the ones who like to follow something pre-done, and also a core concept for those who wish to adapt more to their style... Thats my process now... cheers Walter.
-
Thats the reason Bruce I finally end up on a little more longer ranges for forex trading... as you comment, forex scalping can get tricky with this data smokes... on my futures experience did not get that type of problems... The "setuping" on 5 min its probably the fastest scale that gets more reliable data to be used... then lowering to very specific timings scales should be aware of this data issues... cheers Walter.
-
Hi Agustin... what I am basicly sharing can be apllied in futures and on forex as well... maybe in forex you will have what Bruce just comented , some undesired noise on the data that will not benfit forex scalping, thats why sometimes on forex would be recomendable to trade little more longer timeframes... Here the "pattern concepts" is what counts... then the aplication into the trading should finally be adapted into the traders most confort zone... 22T ? mmmm ... the origins was a 1/5th of 110T... on NT create a forex conection with Gain (already on the soft ) and check NT historical servers also, you will get forex data there for free... Take care Agustin ¡¡ cheers Walter.
-
Do you look for divergences there Bruce ? cheers Walter.
-
Chimp is more relaxed now jejej.... I will test it this week Bruce That would be nice once in a while uhhu ? jejeje.... take care Bruce ¡¡ thanks for this stuff ¡¡ cheers Walter.
-
Sparrow, this was an oscillator made by Blu-Ray on post #460... as weekend is coming in and the chimp is inspired, could this be translated into NT ?... if you can only... LOTS OF THANKS in advance.... cheers Walter. pd: could he have a signal line included ?
-
Mike, if things dont go ok... I dont see reason you drop mod roll... we will make even a better thread.. and I tell Chimpo to calm down... no hard feelings... this things happen... take it easy... cheers Walter.
-
Thanks Sparrow ¡¡ very usefull for research purposes... By the way, ADXVMA does not have any plotting issues... cheers Walter.
-
you dont want to mess with Chimpo is somebody working on this issue ? cheers Chimpo.
-
Hi Sparrow, do you remember de ADXVMA , the one that only has one input... could we get a version with a signal line ? with ma type alternatives as you did with the other cases... I am experimenting some things... thanks Walter.
-
I give you 24 hrs to resolve this or I send you CHIMPO ¡¡ jejeje... hope you get a solution... cheers Walter.
-
jejeje... I was about to send you a gorilla to compensate this damage jejeje... glad to see it back ¡¡¡ jejeje cheers Walter.
-
Hi Bruce so far forex data on NT has been working ok... how are those vma`s doing ? cheers Walter.
