I don't think everyone is doing it I know lots of people who trade other instruments but the newbies seems to be attracted to it without question about your comment that the volume is high... sure it is high, but bear in mind that a lot of the volumes are ins-and-outs with nothing more than a tick's worth of gain or loss. A lot of the volume are not from traders, but from hedgers. They couldn't care less if the market is going up or down, they are only looking at the differentials.
  3. trading is like playing golf you do your own thing, and the big boys do their own thing you play against yourself, not anybody else the score are yours, and yours alone the mistake are yours, and yours alone you are your own best friend, and worst enemy. you can blame it on the club, you can blame it on the ball, but ultimately... who cares, but yourself.

  6. nobody ever build a computer to save money. you do it for the fun. if you don't enjoy reading instructions, and are not up to date with computer technologies, don't do it. if you don't enjoy the problem solving process of building a computer, don't do it. You will waste time, and lose lots of hair. ps. there is really no excuse for trying to connect an old disk to a new MB... ;-)>
  7. building computer is easy these days. you don't need any special tools, or any esoteric knowledge or skills. just buy the parts and assemble the pieces together.

  13. Go to the CBOT website... they have lots of free material on Market Profile that is a good start.

  15. there are deductive methods you can use to screen out the participants. there are theories, and there are school of thoughts, some believe in them, some don't. some find them useful, some don't.
  16. Re: Futures Market: Possible to trade for a living? not only it is possible to trade for a living, it is also possible to provide a living for others as well. (you need deep thinking for this)
  17. learning something without paying too much... that's a good thing.
