Need Some Pointers in Gathering 5 Min Info from IB's API.
Tams replied to rca420's topic in Automated Trading
LOL... it is the reality, not snide. java is not for the faint at heart. if you cannot see the reality, and cannot take a suggestion like a mature adult, why bother asking a question on a public forum? You will waste your time banging your head against the wall until one day you wake up and a light bulb goes off and say to yourself: why didn't I listen to Tams? LOL -

don't know how to do a basic routine? you might as well download NinjaTrader (free) and start from there... -
trading is one of the few endeavors where the reward is not in direct relations to the effort you have put into it. if you think your reward should be tied to your efforts, go get a factory job.

then you deserve to feel bad trading is about yourself, not others. trading is like playing golf... you call the shots, you make the swing, you hit the ball... nobody else. if you get aggravated by someone's peeny stock win, LOL, you will never make anything out of this.... trading penny stock is gambling, stop now is your best bet ps. i might sound harsh, but 5 yrs from now, you will see the value of what i am saying: unless you change your frame of mind, you will simply repeat more of what you have been experiencing.

if you feel bad, inferior, depressed, because someone scored on a penny stock, you deserve to feel bad, inferior, and depressed. Penny stocks are highly manipulated, if you don't know that, you will learn one way or the other.

you can get reliable penny stock information in cow pasture. if you walk in it often enough, sooner then later you are going to get shxt in your shoes. Penny stock is a form of gambling, not trading. It is populated by manipulators who will be happy to take your money. If your post is a prelude to a spam for newsletter subscription or similar advisory services, then you are pretty naive. If you are a wannabe trader and your post is a genuine question, my genuine advice to you is to stay away from penny stocks. There are better ways to spend your money.

Failure to act on debt could spell trouble for economy Without action, Treasury will be forced to stop paying some big bills By John W. Schoen Senior producer msnbc.com updated 5/27/2011 7:22:56 AM ET The government has maxed out its borrowing limit, and Treasury officials have warned of dire consequences if Congress and the White House can't agree soon on a plan for raising the debt ceiling. Failure to act on a plan could force the Treasury to make steep spending cuts to avoid defaulting on debt payments, with potentially serious damage to the current weak economic recovery. The Senate this week shot down a proposal by Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., to cut $6 trillion in federal spending over the next 10 years. That put Congress back on square one as lawmakers look for a compromise that would allow the government to continue operating without some kind of automated cuts to stay under the spending cap. ... full story here http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/43113076/ns/business-eye_on_the_economy/

can you post some screen shots?

I don't think the culture was ever to ignore or made no room for discussion. The PV thread is an instructional thread, not a gloves-off debate thread. I can see why disruptions are not encouraged. But you are free to start a new thread to expound on your theory (or anti-theory). SpyderTrader proposed his theory with explanations and charts and diagrams. If you found it to be a fraud, you should post a few screen shots to dispute the theory.
