  1. one tip: you can right click on the post #, copy the link, and past it in your post, so that people can find it easily. ps. if you are talking about a chart feature, you should always copy the chart... then draw arrows and write notes on the chart to illustrate your point.
  2. yes... the more we share, the better WE become.
  3. this code only gives you the ending time of the bar. you should use currenttime: Text_SetString(Value1, NumToStr(CURRENTTIME,0)); MultiCharts user can use CURRENTTIME_s, which gives the seconds portion of the time. ps. there is a function/keyword to format the time into hh:mm:ss

    good find. thanks for posting.
  5. if you have tried, but are unwilling to share your "efforts", what chances are someone would like to collaborate in this ?
  6. that would happen only if you are willing to take RMB for interntional transactions.
  7. Winners trade to make money. Losers trade to not lose money.
  8. I did not bother responding, because only a fantasizing noob would say that.
  9. this might be of interest to some: Volume Bias http://www.traderslaboratory.com/forums/trading-indicators/6519-volume-bias.html 168.298.169
  10. yes, your understanding is correct. My description was too brief. I should have said -- MFE = best possible paper profit while in a trade. I use Brackettrader, which shows MFE and MAE numbers.
  11. most trading software provides it. or you can calculate it manually. MFE = paper profit MAE = paper loss if your MFE/MAE ratio is ONE, then you are risking $1 to make $1 you are a breakeven trader at best. if your MFE/MAE is larger than ONE, then you are in good hands... you risk less than $1 to make a dollar. You will go far. if your MFE/MAE is smaller than ONE, then you will be in trouble sooner or later... you are risking more than $1 to make a dollar. The bad luck will eventually catch up to you.
  12. that's one of the reason why forex volume are seldom reported. read CJForex's post above, forex traders use tick as a proxy.
  13. a "trade" is a transaction. e.g. I entered an order and bought 100 shares of IBM.... that's one trade. (ie. one tick) Zdo can also enter an order to buy IBM, but he bought 200 shares.... that is also ONE trade. (ie. also one tick) (assuming the order is consummated in one transaction.) Hope this makes sense to you.

  17. those lines are draw in hindsight... not much use in real time trading.
  18. I have gone over your post a little, I cant seem to see what is missing from the tutorial that don't answer your question.
  19. one tick = one trade each trade can be in any volume some trades are larger some trades are smaller in stocks, a minimum volume is 100 shares, in futures, a minimum volume is 1 contract, in forex... volume can be in any size, and is not usually reported.
  20. you don't think the tutorial will shove you in the right direction?
