if the results make him happy, so be it. if noobie wants to engage him because of these postings, so much more power for him. I don't usually get impressed by anything that is not fully disclosed. This is a discussion forum, if he wants to talk, I am all for it. If he wants to sell... I will pass. I have my own system, thank you very much.

what is the time zone of 14:00 - 16:00 ? New York time? Exchange time? every trader is different... you have to be comfortable with your expectation and risk tolerance.

you should always study the contract specification before you start trading the instrument. The document is available at the exchange's website. the market re-opens after RTH for the over night session, that's why your trade gets executed after close.

that's because the quotes I attached above are for the active month -- Mar 2012.

you should pay attention to volume activities please the volume bars on the bottom of your chart. observe the volume level between RTH and after hours.

the rollover for index futures is 8 days before expiry. yes, you MUST change contract to the active month, which is Mar 2012. the trading activity of the current month drops dramatically after rollover, thus you see the extended "price pause". you can call up both months and compare the volume difference. see this article for info Rollover Days

I don't know what are you going to complain about. Interactivebrokers broadcasts the same quotes to all the clients. It is like a radio broadcast, everybody receives the same quote from the same source at the same origin. If there is any delay at IB, everybody would receive the same delay. If you are the only one that receives delayed data, then the delay would have been caused by something somewhere between Interactivebrokers and your computer.

are those exchange time you are quoting? which month you are tracking? in case you are not aware... 1. YM RTH closes at 15:15 2. YM rollover was last Thursday

ABS = absolute value ie. no plus or minus sign to the value... it is all positive

JTurner77: Thanks for sharing your experience. I don't know how to tell you this, and I for sure don't know how to say it in a nice way, or at least in a non-offensive way... Please... stop trading immediately. I can go on with 2000 pages of explanations on why... I can go through all the theories and the principles and the best practices... but the conclusion is the same -- please please please -- stop trading now. You sound like a very intelligent man, I don't want to see you ruin your life. Before you go, please make a copy of your post. When you read it again in 10 year's time, you will see it in better light. Best of luck.
