I don't look at it that way... the market is a BIG pool... you are only using a spoon to fetch a drink. there is plenty to go around, there is enough for everyone, and more. so what if I am on the other side, I am your enemy ONLY if I am taking money from YOU. if you are taking money from me, then I am not your enemy, I am your enabler.

this is the internet... we have no ethnicity, no skin color differences, no nationalistic allegiance, no political affiliations, no religion, no oath, no vow, no age, no gender, no sexual orientations, maybe philosophical debates, but no care. we are traders, we have no enemies, the market is our best friend. any friend of the market is a friend of mine, too. .

I know of one guy who is not a volunteer, but unfortunately he is not liberally "sharing" his codes. Only a few of the regular contributors to the threads have received his code.

The great American philosopher Kenny Rogers, who, while meditating on the nuances of Darwinism, gave the world this piece of advice: "You got to know when to hold 'em Know when to fold 'em Know when to walk away Know when to run."

most of the futures traders scalp scalping simply means trading for small increments (vs swing trading or buy and hold investing, which look for a larger profit target). you can use any computer to scalp, so long as your broker supports the platform. you don't need special software to scalp. HFT is the most abused term on public forums. People like to throw out acronyms and buzz words to sound important. Most people who talk about HFT don't know what it is, nor know how it works.

How Much Weight Should One Put on Market Direction?
Tams replied to rgudgeon's topic in General Trading
the problem is, we were so certain we were right, that we would go long in the face of an impending avalanche, and when the slide begins, we were so sure that it was only a minor correction, and that the market will go back on its upward trend in no time. when the slide did not stop, we find justifications to allay the doubt, when the doubt finally takes hold, we are already 3 feet under. the wishful trader would look for a small rally to get out, which never happened. By the time DOUBT is confirmed, the trader is 6 feet under. -
if you say it does not work, it can mean a lot of things. I can't really help you when you are providing so little information... what instrument are you applying the indicator to? what is the chart resolution? what is the error message? I cannot read your mind. please copy and paste the complete message here. (or make a screen shot).

An Open Letter To Mark Zuckerberg An Open Letter To Mark Zuckerberg About Why It Doesn’t Matter Where You List Your Stock Dear Mark Zuckerberg, Congratulations on your IPO filing. We understand that you are faced with a difficult decision soon on where to list your stock. You have probably heard from your bankers that the NASDAQ exchange is for tech savvy companies like Google and Apple and the NYSE is where the blue chip companies like GE and Caterpillar choose to list. You may think that the NASDAQ market is more of an electronic exchange where dealers place competing bids and offers to help facilitate institutional client trades. You may look at financial television and see scenes from the NYSE and think that the NYSE market is more of a floor based auction model where your stock would trade at a “post” on the exchange. You may be thinking that regardless of which exchange you pick, your stock will help investors create wealth for themselves by investing in your company for the long-term. We hate to break the bad news to you but the fact is.... http://www.ritholtz.com/blog/2012/02/an-open-letter-to-mark-zuckerberg-about-why-it-doesn%E2%80%99t-matter-where-you-list-your-stock/
