  1. I use the search quite often, and I found it served my purpose ok. I would like to learn your search methods... maybe I can shorten my search time? [edited] p.s. If you need to search a word with 3 characters of less, you have to add the * key to the end of the word.
  2. Yes... many people have done this before... One commercial service (the name escaped me at the moment) has their database and search software for rent at $5k per month. when you say 15 min pattern, what resolution are you talking about? at 5 min interval? 1 min? 1 sec? 1 tick? have you worked out the factorial number of a 2 bar + volume pattern?
  3. ... and don't forget the ebook so inconspicuously hidden in the signature line. in case you are dumb enough to miss it, the bait is furnished in multichromatic-technicolor.
  4. wow... won't that become very expensive ? now I am afraid to ask for feature enhancements.... :-(
  5. Whatever his intentions are, I doubt mine (probably yours too) are any nobler. We are here... because we believe we can benefit by being here. Whatever mileage you have got from his posts, is yours. Whatever mileage you did not get from his posts, was never yours. I am happy with his posts... One of my new indicators has a logic based on one of his thoughts. I did not replicated his HUD, or reproduced his complex multi-channel analysis, All I have got was a simple idea... an idea that sprung another idea... that led to a new perspective... and a new analysis. I can't say I haven't got a freebie out of this deal. YMMV
  6. I had the same suspect when I first read his posts. He has subsequently explained what he was looking for in a few posts here on TL. I don't have the links, but they are there. You can search his posts for detail, in short, I can tell you this, he said he is not looking to sell anybody anything.
  7. I like that nA, nX and nTR. That's clever ! ;-)

    MA Ribbon

that's cool ! thanks for the enhancement !
  9. Someone who does not know, and does not know that he does not know, is a fool: Shun him. Someone who does not know, but knows he does not know, is a child: Teach him. Someone who knows, but does not know that he knows, is asleep: Wake him. Someone who knows, and shares what he knows, is a wise man: Follow him. Have a good weekend
  10. MA Ribbon Description: MA Ribbon cuts through the noise to display the strength of a trend The strength of the trend is shown via the difference between current bar's MA and the MA of X bars ago. (usually half of the MA length) When the trend strength is positive and increasing, the indicator will display an upward ribbon that is increasing in width. When the trend strength is subsiding, the ribbon narrows. Eventually when the market reverses, the ribbon will change color, then reverses direction. Note: This EasyLanguage indicator was written in MultiCharts. I have not tested it in other compatible programs. Please refer to your users manual for importation instructions. Your comments and rating of this indicator is appreciated. . MA_RIBBON_(MultiCharts).pla MA_Ribbon_(TS).txt
  11. with EasyLanguage, you can add sound anywhere in the code without deploying the alert window. http://www.traderslaboratory.com/forums/f56/adding-sound-your-indicator-easylanguage-5908.html
  12. indeed, although CME has improved its data report... sadly, many dataproviders are still aggregating their feed. if you have 2 feeds, you might notice differences between the two.
  13. notes about the two: - both use EasyLanguge, - MultiCharts has extended the syntax... -- e.g. sub-minute analysis, multi-resolution analysis (eg. minute and tick in the same chart), -- MultiCharts supports multi-core CPU. useful if your analysis is complex. TradeStation -- integrated broker/datafeed/analysis -- can be an advantage in a 100% autotrade setup.
  14. have you tried the "Search" button? care to share with us your finding?
  15. there is no better way than to read the instructions... if I tell you how, my words will pretty well be a repeat of the manual. http://www.traderslaboratory.com/forums/f46/ade-all-data-everywhere-easylanguage-5934.html
  16. you can use a recording program to adjust the sound volume level, after you have saved that file, the sound will retain the adjusted volume level.
  17. no MultiCharts is a different company you can find the website here: http://www.tssupport.com
  18. you went wild... LOL... someone forgotten to lock the cage!
  19. you better post the question at the TSSupport forum, they are the authority.
  20. Great idea, but probably you would fall asleep after 30 seconds. LOL
  21. type in English: "OK, What do you mean?" ... then ask the program to say it in Italian...
  22. what number did you get?
  23. take the first hour's volume (or an avg of # of day's 1st hr volume), divide it by 60, you will see the avg number of trades that can be handled in 1 minute... go to the 1 min chart, add up all the ranges of each minute bar then divide it by 60, you will get the avg range of the first hours by the minutes take the avg trade, divide it by the avg range (in ticks)... it will get you an idea...
  24. there are quite a few renditions available, ever since Microsoft included the engine in the Windows OS, it has become quite easy to create these type of programs. This is all part of MS's AI initiative. I have tried a few, but that was a long time ago... I don't have a name to recommend.
