Glad to read this, I don’t use 3.4 anymore though, last time I’ve tried without success to import the settings I did bounce back half dozen faulty reports and they were working on it.

When exporting your settings, your username will be saved in the XML saved file. Next time you load the platform your username will be displayed, if a previous username pops up is because a previous xml file is used. You’ll find the parameter in the XML file which is created when you export your settings. <LastUserName>YOURuserName</LastUserName>

This problem has been fixed in yesterday update (3.5.0.10). I don’t know what else is new in this update, Any clues?

When you are ready to add “el” extension, you may as well write down “docx”, but don’t rush take your take….. Nothing urgent, we did survive without for a long time, but it is the lack of actions in the right direction that make us regressive. Current list:

Does anybody know what the update 3.5.1.0 was about? After updating the "about" stamp is still displaying 3.5.0,9., strange!

To install AdBlock in Google Chrome go to https://chrome.google.com/extensions/search?itemlang=&hl=en&q=adblock After installation you can access extensions in order to manage them.(see photo) PS: as the ads are not loading your surfing speed will increase

With moderation everything is good including ads…. Adblock is working with Google chrome too. For IE8 the filters (rules.xlm) have to be imported in the InPrivate Filtering and IE8 need to run in that mode. To get IE8 starting in that mode the registry can be change using the file attached (InPrivate Filtering Auto.reg). rules.zip InPrivate Filtering.zip

There is far too much adds in the forum lately, the front page has an unsteady and slowing loading 180Kb.( forum home pages rarely pass 40Kb) It becomes difficult to spot the different categories amongst the Google ads, very annoying.

Please add file with “el” extension to the attachment list, OEC easy language indicators can’t be loaded in their original format. Thanks

It is working here; I don’t trade GCL so I just assume that’s what you want. The setting will be: Set current profile time zone to UTC-6 Set GCLU0 session to 9:30AM-4:00PM , chart style "candlestick". (OHLCyerterday must have this GCLU0 as input) Install ‘OHLCyesterday’, time 0930, high and low colors , line type “point”. If you don’t want yesterday open and close set to transparent. If you want to print the overnight chart for continuation patterns, insert /add symbol/GCLU)/overlay/right axis. set chart style to OHLC bar. Set the time for that new overlay in order to cover the time out of the cash: 6:00PM-8:30AM.

Strange indeed, I’ve checked few charts; it seems to affect currency symbols only. Maybe OEC support can help on that one.

The last info I have is No more releases will be offered for version 3.4. We will be asking all users to migrate to version 3.5 later this year. Version 3.5.0.9 offers two range bar implementations: range bars with no price gaps between and close of prior bar and open of current and the "momentum" range bars. This forum thread is important, I would like to thank deadalus for starting it and other contributors especially browsfan (for is intervention), without the desire to improve the platform, listening the genuine concern and constructive criticisms of users we would have be left with only one option (the bad one (IMHO). The thread ‘3.5 bug log…’ has the same spirit, go for the better not the opposite. Please report your concerns, bugs, complains etc… I’m sure the result will be positive for all. OEC platform has the potential to be one of the best with your help. I will not go elsewhere; I want to be part of the berth.

Production 3.5 DOM sucks as well..... Annoying change in the ask histogram, especially if you have used the OEC DOM for years. The new ask Histogram is now green and have to be read from right to left, so be aware of the new display as it could be deceiving. The formation of walls in the ask ladder are now cumbersome to spot. I sent an Email to OEC I soon as I discovered the unwanted change (in the Demo), few weeks ago. to no answer from OEC….. If you are impressed as I am, please contact OEC…:doh:

If you are accustomed with the convectional range bar we have been using so far, I suggest do not touch the new type as it is crap. It hasn’t been tested and show sign of weakness. That new range is not showing the real price action we are looking for, as displaying multitude of same range bar, producing noise and fragmentation of your indicators and volume.....

Bummer!!, That something else, I’ve tried hard to get my settings working without success . I’m stuck with that new range type and can’t get the 3.5 working

No feed on 3.4 so far this weekend?? I can open my chart only on 3.5 demo, but get a critical error when importing the settings from 3.4. The 17:00 opening is going to be chaotic for sure.

Since 17:54 ET, prod. version 3.4.08 is displaying the new range bar, no upgrade yet . Can't use the old version anymore until the new update is released, I guess. PS:The same process occurred for the sim 3.4.08, OEC can change the timeframe without upgrading the platform. It was the easiest way to change the range bar type without upgrading. This could explain why we have the wrong names in the wrong places. Range bar should be kept for constant range bar. And the new type should be called type 2, to follow the good logic from Sierra Chart.
