How Do You Know the Markets Aren't Random?
cw30000 replied to dangermouseb's topic in Technical Analysis
Market is random. If it is not random, why is there no 100% winning rate system? -
The Secret to Better Fills, Less Slippage, and Fewer Stop Outs
cw30000 replied to TimRacette's topic in Trading
It also depends what you are trading. If you trade the ES, then you will not get slippage on market order. However, if you are trading the TF or CL, then expect 1 or 2 ticks of slippage.- 23 replies

[es] Stop Losses: Help or Hindrance?
cw30000 replied to AuctionMarket_Trader's topic in E-mini Futures
You must have stop if you trade. The reason is simple, one flash crash will wipe out your account, you may even have a negative balance. If your entry is correct, then the chance of you stop getting run over is slim. If you do get stop out constantly, chance are that you have misreaded the market. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk -
I want to know if the [quantity, price modify, cancel, order modify] area after an order is enter or executed be placed on the right side instead of the default left? Please screen shot for what I am referring. Thanks.

It is not that ES is difficult, it is because it does not fit your style or psychological profile. For example, I traded ES and failed. But when I applied the same strategy to crude, it suddenly work like magic.

Is depth of market really an edge? I found it distracted. I only care about the spread. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk

A Question for Active Day Traders
cw30000 replied to youngsequan's topic in Day Trading and Scalping
Another reason to trader future instead of stock is tax. As of now, the highest rate for profit is 23% for futures and 35% for stocks. That mean for every $100 profit in futures, you have to make $118.50 to have the same after tax profits. What if you have a loss? Futures allows you take the current year loss against profits from previous 3 years, while stock only allows 3k a year. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk -
anyone care to comment on crossland lcc, a clearing firm? I tried google, but cannot find much information.

Regardless where you go, the end result is the same. The world is running on fiat currency and guarantee there will be inflation. The problems with US is we have too much debt, bad policy, rewarding bad behaviors, etc etc. If you are profitable, I would advise you to leave this country and denounce your citizenship. Go to country like Singapore where there is no tax for trading. You don't even need to learn another language, they speak English there.

I have received my 1099 from OEC and it looks like they forgot to included my FESX trades. My 1099 shows a loss ~500 but on statement, my loss is almost $1700. What happened to the missing grand? I have tried to contact them to fix it and the reply I received from them was their 1099 is correct and tell me to seek a tax pro. But they cannot explain where is the missing ~$1200. For those of you who trade a contract beside that is not denote in your base currency through OEC, please check your 1099.

If SEC going to fix short selling then they need to fix naked short seller. Naked short selling should limit to market makers and if they failed to delivery, they must pay a heavy penalty such as 200% interest. I saw a HK tv serie years back when a market maker failed to deliver share, he was sent to prison. I think we need a system like this.

TOS Futures Account, Testimonial, Moan-ial
cw30000 replied to popstocks's topic in Brokers and Data Feeds
TOS for options and IB for everything else. Except if you use tick or volume candle charts, then you need another broker or another feed. IB provide you with a snapshot every 0.2 second.
