I am looking to replicate the linear regression channel indicator that is available in Esignal, in the Tradestation platform to be used in a system. The thing is I use it differently than most people. In Esignal you can put a zero in the time period box and basically it calculates a regression channel based on all of the available data. So if I look at a daily chart and I have 5 years of data, a regression would be calculated on the entire amount of data. The same would go for intraday data. I realize people may question why I want to do this and that's fine. I am not asking for validation, I am just wondering if there is an indicator that is currently available that will allow me to do this and if notwould it be possible to have someone code this in Tradestation? I am trying to figure out if there is an indicator add-on for ninjatrader 7 to replicate the linear regression channel lines that esignal has built in. I know you can integrate esignal into ninjatrader but I don't have esignal. I have been able to replicate these lines in quotetracker so I know it must be possible since ninjatrader obviously does a lot more than the antiquated software quotetracker. If anyone knows please let me know. Basically it's a linear regression median line, and then a lower and upper lines drawn X standard deviations from the median line forming a channel around price. These lines are projecting into the future and don't stop at the current price. The lines are drawn using ALL of the price data on a any given time frame, not just for instance a period of 30 bars or 30 days of data like the default linear regression channel uses in ninjatrader. If anyone knows of an indicator or is willing to help me code something to replicate this esignal linear regression channel I would appreciate it. I could even pay a little. Hi can anyone tell me are there any threads of people that still trade stocks using the jack Hershey/spydertrader method? I read all of the journals on Elite but was wondering if there was anything here?
