Excellent stuff Brownsfan, thanks for the detailed reply. I currently only trade off tick charts and do take note of the candles as they form and you can see the power struggle in some particular candles. Thanks Again Blu-Ray

Brownsfan Just a couple of quick questions for you regarding candlesticks. 1) Would you say tick charts are any good for candlestick patterns ( 144 tick or less ) or would that be too much noise for patterns to emerge ? 2) Would you say candlesticks are more powerful if 2 or 3 form together, rather than one on it's own? Cheers.......Blu-Ray
  3. Abe It's based on the 30 stocks in the Dow Jones Industrial Average. Each stock has a different weight percentage. eg. IBM has the biggest weight at 6.78% of the index and Intel the least at 1.44%. Here's a link to show you the 30 stocks and their corresponding weight. http://www.indexarb.com/indexComponentWtsDJ.html Hope this helps Blu-Ray

    The "FHR" Trades

Hi Don Sorry to hear you've not been too well, I hope you get better and make a full recovery, it's good to have you back. Hope all goes well Blu-Ray
  5. Yes, I've noticed it too as I responded to your question yesterday on the market statistics thread and they've gone. Also noticed it with a couple of other threads where posts have gone missing. Probablies to do with James swapping over to a new server. Blu-Ray
  6. I also believe this would be a good feature. Cheers....Blu-Ray
  7. I think he means mkp as in the member mkp14 that posts here. Cheers....Blu-Ray
  8. I must admit that I've had no bother getting into the site and I use IE, however about half an hour ago I couldn't log on as it was saying there was a database error.........probablies your IT guys looking into it. Just a FYI Blu-Ray
  9. No problem Dogpile, Thanks for the videos, please keep them coming, I wasn't really interested in indicator settings or precise set-ups, it was just a thought that it would be easier using camtasia or camstudio. Anyway thanks again Blu-Ray
  10. Good videos there Dogpile, But I would recommend getting either camstudio or camtasia, as you'll get better a visual of the screen. Cheers Blu-Ray

  12. Walter Just a quick question if I may, I know when you started the ABC thread you said that you were using the same indicators and tick chart as the flip methodology. Then you switched to a 22 tick chart with a new oscillator as well, so I was wondering, what nuances did you find with the ABC method? I can see where overtrading would come into it, as it throws out a lot of signals, but there are also a few where you would get shaken out as well. I would really appreciate your comments, as when waiting for flips, alot of the time ABC patterns occur instead. Cheers Blu-Ray
  13. Thanks torero for that Just an insight for anyone who downloads it and uses a Black background ( as most people do ). You'll have to change the non-alert colour in the input section, if you want to see the full number of ticks and not just the last 10. Blu-Ray
  14. I suppose it would depend on the platform your using for the time and sales, for example, in Tradestation if the price is green then the quantity is the same and vice versa. Check with the company who supplies you the time and sales for verification as that would be a handy piece of information. Cheers Blu-Ray

    Wheat WOW!

torero I don't follow the grains, so apologies in advance if I'm wrong. However which month were you looking at? The reason I ask was that on the free video than John Carter sends out, he said that all the months go haywire on the grains in the second half of the year, if you use the @w.c. He said you needed to put the month in that was trading, eg WU07. Again sorry if I'm wrong Blu-Ray
  16. Walter Nice find on the Sunday range. Here I post an example of a flip that took place this morning, works out well for 20+ pips. Only trouble is that it took place at 6am this morning. What I was wondering was, how long do you think the sunday range would be valid for and / or would this idea not be a scalping one, more of a breakout swing one? Cheers Blu-Ray

    The "FHR" Trades

Nice one walter The pullback using the fib levels is very similar to the "Ambush Trade" that Hubert Sentors teaches via tradethemarkets.com, but I like way you have distinguished the timing of the cci with the fib levels, keep up the good work Cheers Blu-Ray

    The "FHR" Trades

Here's an indicator for any following along with Tradestation, it's an opening range indicator, which plots the high and low of the first hour. Once imported, just adjust the start and end time to suit. Walter/Don On the example attached, there's a couple of nice bounces of the FHR low, just wondering what your using for to differentiate between cycle and momentum, are you using cci or rdx? Many thanks Blu-Ray OPENINGRANGE.ELD
  19. Thanks again cooter Yes I'm in the UK and have dealt with the spreadbetting companies. This was the main reason I was worried, because I know having a bookie on the other side, they skew prices and stitch you up. It was for this reason that made me think why Infinity/TransAct would want to be on the other side? But if you're saying that most companies ask for this info, then thats good enough for me. Cheers Blu-Ray
  20. Thanks cooter for the info yes thats what I'm wary about Blu-Ray
  21. I'm looking to open an account with Infinity, but when going throught their forms, you come to a page like this: "Authorization for transactions in which TransAct may be on the other side" When I opened my Tradestation account I never had to sign anything like this, but with Infinity it seems you have to. At present I don't know who is on the other side and never will, but I know if Infinty/TransAct are going to be on the other side, then surely slippage would come into factor. Has anyone noticed much slippage with this firm? Do other brokers set up these arrangements? Many Thanks Blu-Ray
  22. Excellent stuff Walter, I'm looking forward to it. Blu-Ray
  23. Nice one Walter, I managed to catch the second one. Missed the 1st one as I keep waiting for the picture perfect ones, as in where the S/R line is touched. Keep up the good work Cheers Blu-Ray
  24. For anyone following along with Tradestation, here is the ELD for the Hull Moving Average, however I can't seem to get hold of the RSX indicator. HULLMA.ELD
