  1. Nice analysis there Blowfish, it looks like you've got that PVP pretty much nailed. Blu-Ray
  2. After a discussion in the General trade log section with Brownsfan, it was suggested by him to open a thread with regards to having a trading plan on candlesticks. The discussion was along the lines of when or when not to take a candlestick pattern, eg. a bullish hammer is obviously better at a support level rather than in the middle of a range. So it would be good to get a discussion going about different candlesticks and how or when you would use them. An example, of which is pondering me would be, if a bullish hammer appears at a strong resistance level, would that be taken as a long signal or would you just stand aside? I'm relatively new to the candlestick analysis, since I scalp off tick charts, but even then if my system fires off a buy signal and a shooting star has just appeared then I'll pass on that trade, it's amazing how many bad trades it would keep me out of. That is what has whetted my appetite to delve further into this candlestick analysis. Cheers Blu-Ray
  3. Thanks Brownsfan, I'll give it a go and start a thread on it. Cheers Blu-Ray
  4. Impressive work there dbntina, if you don't mind I would like a try. Thanks Blu-Ray
  5. Brownsfan Nice analysis there for Abe. I'm currently scalping of tick charts so candlestick analysis is a bit of a new ball game for me, although I'm starting to understand it. If I could just run this one past you to get your opinion on it, would be much appreciated. On Abe's chart, I've highlighted a hammer, 2 bars after a hammer, but in the middle of the range, I was just wondering what your opinion would be if, for instance, I come across this again? Would it be a case of just a bad long there or would you have already discounted it, or is it not a bullish hammer at all? Thanks Blu-Ray
  6. Dovetree Traderlu has also kindfully done it in a "show me" edition, shown here: http://www.traderslaboratory.com/forums/f46/ttm-scalper-buys-sells-showme-edition-2127.html Try transferring your code into a "Show me" indicator. Cheers Blu-Ray

  13. Thanks Walter At first it wouldn't work, it kept saying plot error, I've edited the easy language and removed the last two lines ( saying " if plot2 < 0" etc ) and it works. Here's a pic. Thanks again Blu-Ray
  14. This site has it when you click on the "who's online" page, it automatically refreshes itself every minute or so. Cheers.....Blu-Ray
  15. Walter Could you give the settings your using for TS users please. ( just of the bands and MA ) Cheers........Blu-Ray
  16. Hopefully it's available via James, as for instance, when you check the "Who's Online" feature, that page updates every minute or so. So maybe he could extend that feature to this forum. Blu-Ray
  17. That would be excellent if possible. Thanks.......Blu-Ray
  18. Walter Yes, I'm using TS, it's good because I can just code a paintbar to visually see the zero line cross on the cci, but it does have the downsides, as I can't find the same cci as the one your using ( T3 smooth ). Anyway, it's nice to be onboard:) Blu-Ray
  19. Just to follow along with Walter and Don's great work, here's how the GBPUSD acted this morning. Entry nice and swift, no heat taken really and in and out in 5-6 minutes, target hit. Nice work, keep those videos coming Cheers......Blu-Ray
  20. Great videos Walter, it's good to put a voice to the name. Cheers....Blu-Ray
  21. Abe I'm sure only premium members are allowed signatures. Blu-Ray
  22. Abe Just a couple of things for you to mull over, Firstly you're still watching CNBC - and despite what you might think, it WILL put a bias into your head. Secondly, there's nothing wrong with taking short duration trades, so don't let anybody talk you out of it, because yes, scalping does allow a lower risk tolerance. But this is the hard part, you have to have a prestine set-up where you're only going to take the higher probability trades, and this will ( should ) eliminate overtrading as well. Hope this helps Blu-Ray

    The "FHR" Trades

Just a quick question Walter How come you're using the 3 hour range before London Open and not just the 1 hour before as previously discussed. eg 5am-8am rather than 7am-8am BST. Cheers......Blu-Ray
