  1. Hi, I am not familiar with a site that provides YM premium levels. If you are aware of this, please share it with us. The YM mimics the ES in terms of movement which is S&P premium can be used for the YM.
  2. I have experience with esignal in the past.. now I use TS. If you are looking for a smooth platform, esignal is the way to go. Ive been using TS for some time so I am very comfortable with it hence the reason why I still use it. The MP package for esignal is reasonable and good also. I think they can offer the MP package one month free.
  3. I dont trade equities but I have seen other traders use MP with NYSE stocks.
  4. Video on reversal setups combining pivots, volume, and NYSE TICK's. One of my favorite reversal setups. CLICK HERE TO VIEW VIDEO Charts created by Tradestation
  5. Hi brownsfan, There is also a solution of a CMPS (Content Management & Portal System) which is fully customizable with an admin control panel. For example, I am using a board system in combination with a CMPS for this site. This allows me to add blocks, sections, etc.. without professional knowledge of web design. There are plenty of different CMPS solutions out there. You might want to take a look into as well
  6. I am actually interested in the mini Ag's... didnt realize they were not offered yet. Anyone know when they become available?
  7. The profile picture in question is not a devil face. It is a samurai warrior mask. If you still find this offensive, please let me know. Thanks
  8. Heres the link to the free ebook: http://www.spytrdr.com/PhantomOfThePits.pdf I am sure there are other sites that offer this for free. One particular quote early in the mini book I found interesting: ALS: To you, what is the most important aspect of trading. POP (Phantom of Pits): Behavior modification, without doubt, is the key to trading success -- not only in how we think but also how we act in certain situations. We must adapt to changing situations over which we have no control. We must change the situations over which we do have control.
  9. I will contact him directly to see what he says. Thanks walter.
  10. One thing that comes to mind is that you were not actually seeing selling but instead buying at the bottom. Those orders were basically limit orders. Did you see alot of contracts on the red without further price decline? Many times, longer timeframe traders will have orders set before hand.
  11. It doenst make sense at the moment because you do not understand what to look for and how to use it. Tape reading is not easy. You will need to devote a few months observing and staring at it until you start to see information relevant to your trading. You might want to start out by looking at the tape only when price reaches a certain key level. Watch how it behaves when price reaches there and keep an eye on bigger contracts that come across tape.
  12. I see where the problem is... let me try go fix that asap. Thanks for the notice.
  13. Brownsfan, can you send me a test pm? Thanks
  14. The Infinity AT is a user-friendly ninjatrader in my opinion. Definitely try out the demo first. Its connected to real-time data so you can test how fast the execution is.
  15. I paid around $89 for my 1gb stick. So $65 seems cheap to me. RAM sticks are expensive in Tokyo starting from over $150 so I tend to get my hardware shipped from the US.
  16. Very interesting indeed notouch. I am sure there are many traders in your same shoes holding their longs because of the breakout gap. I do recall you mentioning a swing in the YM... so far I think you are on an excellent trade. Broke that 12600.... Im expecting alot more on this rally. Hopefully what I say will not matter and you will exit accordingly to your trading plan. Nice trade btw.
  17. Here is an interesting chart of a breakout gap from a 4 day consolidation. What alerted me of a potential change and a bullish bias was the consolidation on April 2nd, 2007. After 3 days of wide swings (100pt): 3/28, 3/29, 3/30.... the April 2nd range was 50 points and closed near the upper range for the day. This immediately alerted me of a break in pattern compared to the past 3 sessions. Notice on April 3rd, 2007 we get a breakout gap above the 3/30 high and top of the congestion area. The breakout gap also occurs at a key psychological level at 12500. Whats also important is that the following day, the market cleared 12600 without a fight. (see dialy chart attached) Here is a quick breakdown of the breakout gap: Those who are long and planned to short at 12500 are no longer involved since the markets gapped up. In other word, thoese who played the lower bracket and went long now are more optimistic since prices gapped above 12500. Second, sellers waiting for the second attempt at 12500 are no longer existent. A good way for the pros to eliminate supply is to gap the markets up above it. This stops the shorts from stepping in.
  18. oops.. Typo. And yes, I am in Tokyo
  19. Im not sure about indicators but look for congestion areas. In other words, the markets will move and then take a breather. Trend > range > trend > range. How would you define a congestion area? Its really up to you... might be when price touches the same S&R twice, when price rotates back and forth at a reference forth, etc... I dont use strict rules for what defines a balance area or not. I just eyeball it.
  20. Brownsfan, here is a site where I buy my RAM from. Great store: Memory-Up.com Although you shouldnt have a problem using different brands, I tend to stick with the same brand for my RAM and video cards.
  21. Cooter, can you pm me? I can send you a discount link.
  22. yea.. had a chance to review his threads. Posting the same exact lines in all replies. Not good.
