  1. Wow, liking these range bars, I've no idea why I passed them over in my earlier trading life. 85 pips, 3 wins and 1 small loss on GU in less than 4 hours. I know this is a gentleman traders forum but ... "FOOKIN A!" :0 Anyway, first day of using them, still a little unsure how to see and trade but looks like the same as my normal time dependent bars. I mark up HTF SR from normal MT4 chart and then trade from range chart, seems like the bounce is smoother and easier to see because there's no whipsawing up and down like you see on a normal time dependent chart. Anyone with experience give a few pointers? EDIT: Oh yep, the stops are great to place and they are small too! :0

    EURJPY Trading

Hi AmCan1, I'm more of a visual learner than anything else, when I see a block of words and sentences together, my brain shuts down lol. Thanks again for the charts, very much appreciated. Wow, range and renko bars now tick charts, you TL guys sure trade differently from the herd. I need to do more reading and studying over weekend. Have a nice one by the way!

  4. oh boy, my trading demons come back to haunt me ... a loss ... my mistake of moving my SL too tight too quickly and I had to leave the screen during the trade, should have trusted the uptrend

    EURJPY Trading

Hi StevenSJC, I agree what you are saying, most traders are looking at the same charts and trading the same, I'm glad you found something working out for you. I tried looking at range bars before in real time and it gave me a headache, the movement was jerky, sometimes speed up and or slow in intervals and difficult to read, but in all fairness I didn't experiment on them that long. Renko and range bars sound like a steep learning curve so maybe I stick to what I know so far. Pete

    EURJPY Trading

HI StevenSJC, I'm not sure I can trade without the added dimension of time factored in, but I do understand that range is the real market, looks like you are doing great though Can you recommend any good reading material on renko/range bars, any famous traders using them effectively? Thanks, Pete
  8. Nice trading guy! Love the renko charts but I've never used them, charts look very clean.
  9. Been waiting for a few days for this one zzzz but finally paid off

    EURJPY Trading

I choose D / H4 / H1 / 30MIN areas which I believe are strong SR levels and use smaller TF for entry such as 1, 5 and sometimes 15 min for entries gunning for whatever pips I can get. Here's my EJ trades for today

    EURJPY Trading

I was going to put this in the GU thread but felt it was better served with it's very own dedicated thread. Post anything you want about the EJ, anything at all for further discussion.
  12. Good for you starting this thread. I haven't been a regular posting here but plan to move back, tired of reading rubbish on the other forums plus I started live trading in late April so need all the support I can get, the GU is one of my trading pairs. See all soon
  13. Hi Soultrader, I recently found this old post and I was wondering where are the videos that were mentioned for reading the tape by ant. Also the link your posted here doesn't work. Thanking you kindly
  14. TRO No attack here, your indicators are nice and some are useful but whatever your reason for your prolific coding some here question your motive that you may be draining us, not the banks. Probably because your information is everywhere and disorganized. Since you are an IB for MBT, give the newbie false hope, give him information everywhere and make sure he funds his account and I'll take the commission from him!? Your instructions are vague. Newbies will be gleaming at all the pips they can win from reading all your posts on this site and others, thinking all they have to do is "don't think, just act". If you are going to put out methods and systems please be a bit more direct and more responsible.
  15. Thank you Thales. every time someone says this indicator repaints, it drives me nuts when I couldn't work it out. Why would an indicator repaint, couldn't the signal be a new one?
  16. Hello TRO! Nice that you found another site to place your gold! Can you explain the CDRW multimeter in post 294 please? Everytime I see CDRW, I keep thinking CD read write :haha: Also on a separate note, can someone quickly explain the term/word 'repainting' (not on the wall kind of painting as you know) please, I've been searching for a few hours but I haven't anything concrete.
  17. Thanks, I never liked gain, I had gain for NT and the forex quotes were always way off. Doing a web search netted a 50/50 review for TS brokers for me meaning that I'm think I give TS a miss for now (difficult to get any reliable info on web until you actually tried it so sorry TS). > waveslider > ok , I see, sorry about your troubles. It's always a pain looking for the ideal plaform, need time to test and test and test, annoying really. hope you get a solution soon and let us know how you fare. Opening an account in dukas looks painful so scrap that idea for now until my account grows. I'm going to go back to IB for now, I've never tried them for forex so it should be interesting, great commission structure so now have see what the fills are like. Have a nice weekend everyone
  18. I hope you guys are joking about tradestation brokerage, I was just considering joining them until I found a few threads like this. Now I'm with MBT and the reason I'm moving is because of their crappy commission (I'm paying one lot round trip eurusd about $14) I found out that dukas has lowered their min deposit to 10K USD and commissions are way better than MBT hands down. But I also seen a thread that their fills get easily rejected if the standard lot size is less than 250K. It would be nice to trade with dukas but I'm still trying to find if this is true or not. So Tradestation (as a broker) really is crappy? Such a pain looking for a decent broker :crap:
  19. I want to use for NinjaTrader.
  20. Hi, yes, go to NinjaTrader support and you'll find indicators there. There are a few threads in forexfactory on VSA where some people put up NT VSA indicators. Go there are do a search. Have a nice day.
  21. Thank you anyway Blowfish, have a good trading day today. GM is GM no more.
  22. Hi Blowfish, thank you for the offer. The code is long, if you don't want to do then thats ok, I don't blame you . I've attached one word document with both versions of the code. Thank you. Don't get me wrong. I'm not lazy or I can't be bothered, I'm just so crap at computer languages :crap: Better Volume Indicator 25Jan09.doc
  23. Reading code. I rather have my toe-nails pulled out with a pair of clippers. Thanks anyway and I see if I can make any headway.
