  1. Caffeine does perk you up but personally I think it leaves you more tired after the effects wears off. Try green tea. Adding one more thing that works for me. Instead of eating 3 meals a day, try eating 6 smaller 'healthy' meals each day. I'm almost 40, by eating this way I can really see the difference in my energy levels and mood, I hardly feel tired at all.
  2. Thanks Ingot. I agree with the five step plan in a theoretical sense but will people embrace and implement it? And flaws? Sure, but lesser of two evils comes to mind ... Another ramble from me (grumble and too many beers lol) You can see from the recent riots in the UK. Many of course will see the surface and that's all they can see, uneducated thugs destroying things on TV, but has anyone considered that the underlying reason for the turmoil ... 'young' people just angrily dissatisfied with gvt and banks getting away with murder (excess bonuses etc...) . If these people in power can get away with these things, can you see vandals getting away setting fire to police cars and robbing shops. Emulation to the extreme! Revolution is coming my friend, look at the speed that they riots spread throughout the country --- hard or soft but it will eventually come ... and I hope the white hats win
  3. My two cents and maybe off topic --- The demise of US in the short and medium term is a certainty. So does it make sense to pull back all resources, get their house in order, then start over. When I hear US funding this and that overseas, I've gotta ask wtf .... I'm no US citizen but I think that's what Ron Paul wants to do if he gets to power, seems like a genuine chap ... for a politician
  4. "... A series of farms, where human farmers owns human livestock ... " then shows the pope Nice one Ingot, food for thought
  5. Thanks Rande, that is the grail there.
  6. I think every person is different and will feel and handle stress in their own way. But stress can be controlled and managed to a level where you can be as cool as a cucumber in the heat of the moment. Yoga is helping I think, breathing deeply into the area where my muscles feels tightening up due to a stressful situation is good as I feel that part relaxing. Once I'm calm, charts do look clearer. Not sure if it's wishful thinking but I guess no harm in believing it's working. Need more time before all the work comes naturally.
  7. imho, your issue is thinking about 'making money', can you see psychologically this is harmful to you being successful in the long term? You do not need this factor which adds pressure and until you realize this, you're in for mediocre results both in terms of $ and yourself. Try to trade well first before thinking about making money. And 2 years is pretty short to being successful in this game.
  8. Hi ZDO, The bikram centre closed a few years back in this country, something to do with licencing problems and friction between the franchise agent and bikram head office. Anyway after they closed, some instructors bikram qualified moved to Pure Yoga centre and hence that's where 'Hot Yoga' formed. So it seems I'm well looked after apart from one crappy instructor but overall happy. Don't really care about the 26 postures really, I just want motivation and a hot place to sweat and stretch.
  9. Maelstrom,

Thanks for the feedback. Do you have a link for the paid rangebar which you think is reliable?

    Thanks,

    Pete

  10. Hi ZDO! I've signed up at pure fitness/yoga and they have similar called hot yoga, the same (or almost the same) moves as bikram, I guess the package rename because of copyright stuff. Anyway, two weeks and 8 days of 1 hr lessons so far .... feels good but totally humbled, you think you know your body but phffff..... out of the window. No 30/60 day challenge like bikram but I challenge myself to do it everyday. Most the ladies there seem to be as graceful and supple as a butterfly when this guy (me) walks in like metallic robot, argh! I'm still have trouble breathing when doing some moves, still need more attention the breath is the most important I think. Take care, Pete
  11. Hi M, Thanks for sharing your ideas. I love pure price and how it shows on renko, which I'm playing with now. But I like to experiment with range bars again. Do you (or anyone else) know of any reliable range bars indicator for MT4? Thanks again, Pete
  12. Me ... a banker? hahah, no, I rather shoot myself, I'm still a slave to the system ... work in progress Yeah, sick how something like that happens to those guys in the vids. I'm proud that they fought tooth and nail to the very end to get some kind of a positive result, but I'm sure the experience gave them a bitter lingering taste to their innocence and stressed their family to the max. I hope they successfully sue the crap of NAB. Share your story Ingot54. I love to hear what recent scraps you've been getting into.
  13. Bikram for me, I just luv the sweating Question... Do any of you gurus recommend doing yoga every day? Maybe twice a day? I have a few months off work and I really want to get into it again so I can have a fresh start in my life mentally and physically. I am a beginner BUT I'm no wimp when it comes to physical stuff
  14. Hi there, thanks for sharing. Where's the attachments?
  15. BET OR GO HOME ..... It's that simple, if you don't pull the trigger, what's the point, you might as well pack your bags and go and do something else. However, its not all a big loss, Tams got it correct, all you need to do is train your subconscious To do this, all I do which works for me, I talk to myself positively and out loud, win, lose, when in a trade etc... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KsegbspBA9w]YouTube - ‪firedUpCocky‬‏[/ame] and my wife thinks I nuts talking to myself lol
  16. Hi, good morning, The original chart is a 15 minute chart showing a retracement into what I believe to be higher time frame resistance. Here is another 15 min chart from a different broker showing the same price action but in a different configuration, for me the trigger would be the engulfing, and I would have no hesitation taking that. However reading the first chart I posted was challenging and there wasn't a trigger I think. I want to see if anyone can see exhaustion in my original chart from their point of view ... a pin bar then 2 dojis, does that mean anything or nothing at all? Thanks for the responses so far
  17. Hi Tams, I don't look at volume as I've never found any use for it and the candlesticks are for the forex market. I just need other traders ideas just by reading the CS Thanks
  18. Can any kind candlestick expert soul help me understand and read this reversal in participants psychology terms? I saw there was a run up, then a pin evolved follow by 2 dojis (A and B), then the drop. Normally I try to get an engulfing candle as a trigger but I got stumped and didn't understand the 2 dojis which followed the pin. 1. pin ... sellers overcome buyers 2. doji A ... indecision 3. doji B ... indecision 4. sellers win big maybe there wasn't a trigger? Thanks

    Cory2679's Log

Glad you're back on track. I went through a similar thing on my forex journey. You will step off the path once in a while but your stride will become stronger and more confident when you get back on your path. Don't be too hard on yourself, it's very common event with traders You can only get better from this point onwards.
  20. I've never used the brokerage but you may want to try broco for MT4 charts. They show a lot of different instruments, there maybe the ETFs you want
  21. My humble ramblings only .... 1. Trading is 80% you not method so belief is the main core of you and if you believe you can do it, then you will do it. 2. Don't treat you trading account as real money. Think in points/pips not $$$. 3. Once you've mastered 1 and 2 and a method and have a decent edge, compound the hell of of you account to millionaire status in less than a year 4. Patience 5. Patience 6. Patience...

    EURJPY Trading

Looks like someone had a great trading session! Yes, it's good to show what you're doing, further learning for me too. The only experience I have with tick charts is from the better volume emini guy and his technique for forex also incorporates tick charts but together with MTF. I liked it but I couldn't find a tick chart to be comfortable with. Do you look at higher tick charts to get the overall big picture if so what are the ticks you are looking at please?

    EURJPY Trading

PA18 loves Renko! Still looking at normal charts. I'm picking up significant HTF SR levels on these charts and using Renko for entries. Seems I can't get away from looking at normal candlesticks, Exits are quite tricky with Renko, apart from looking at the colour and exiting with opposite colour which is at a pivot, I would say that this is the only rule that you can have. So for exits I'm going to stick to my h1 or h4 candlesticks. Overall, I'm impress with Renko, because of the cleaness of the charts I can see the trend, pivots and swings easier giving you confidence to take a trade with such a small stop. There are still some false signals but trading with Renko, my win rate is up 15%. This EJ I traded today, 4 wins and 1 loss.
  24. Very strange trading without the time element. It feels like less stressful because you're not waiting for a candle to close in 5 or 15 minutes or something like that. But on the other hand, I feel a bit bewildered because there is no time to push you to a decision. Normally I wait for congestion on smaller TF then 123 out of there (at a significant HTF SR area) so are my entry rules still going work out?? Still need practice. Can I ask questions to the experienced range bar traders on my posted chart. Would it be a good place to sell where I marked off in yellow, if not why? With range bar trading, since we are trading the direction of the pips only, would looking at colour influence decision making such as entry and exit?
