HA! Nice Walter! Thanks man. And Reaver...yea, this may be my niche. I used to do this when I first started out trading and things are just coming 'round full circle. I've asked James to open up a swing trading forum so we can discuss ideas, be it stocks, ETF's or futures and options too. We could discuss various scanning softwares as well. We'll see!

Thanks Brownsfan. I'm surprised i wasn't able to get something working, too...but maybe it just wasn't my niche. And yes, I'll be employing all the same things I had been using intraday, just on a longer time frame with candles and volume. I'll see about getting a new forum going for swing trading. Could be fun.

Just wanted to say I'm not going to be trading futures intra-day anymore. I'll be swing trading equities/ETF's from here on out. The day to day grind of the markets over the past year with a little bit of volatility for 6 weeks is something I don't want to deal with anymore. So, just thought I'd share with the community. I'm sure I'll still be on here, so don't cry too much!

Thanks for the words Pivot. Yea, it was a pretty random trade and looking back...no clue why I did what I did. I appreciate the harshness, really. No better way for me to learn. The MA is the VWAP, also. Well, I wouldn't expect this kind of trade to happen again from me. Learned my lesson there. Thanks all, I really appreciate the feedback. Have you noticed, tho, that when there is a huge amount of offer-side pressure in the dom that often times it's taken out and then price ramps up? That just happened....must've been 15k cars sitting in the top 4 slots on the offer and then they vanished. Price was at 51.25 and right when those all vanished price jumped to 52.50 within 2 minutes. Now, it's not a HUUUUGE jump in price, but still, 5 ticks can make ya some ka-ching.

One thought on the picture I posted opening up in "no mans land"... Price has these low volume nodes because no one wants to do business at those prices. If business wasn't done there before, good chance it won't be done there in the near future either. Price could have just as easily started to auction up into the smaller HVN and highs from yesterday and start to break this flag pattern on the 30min....but didn't. Is price trying to seek out a little bit more buying action at the lows to push higher? Or is price just really not wanting to be up there before the report tomorrow....

And yay...building another HVN right in that 48-50 area from yesterday. No trades getting placed till this area is history.

Its interesting because I hardly ever use a browser on the PC side except to get the occasional CBOT video or get this spyware stuff. I downloaded that AVG free program and I can't believe the stuff it came up with. yikes!

Price hasn't begun to build a higher value as of yet, though. If it continues to auction up, it will.

I use FireFox on the PC side of the mac, and IE keeps popping up with this garbage. I'll do what you guys say. Sucks that you even have to do this crap.

As you all know, I hate windows really bad and hate anything PC really bad. So...I know nothing about them. I do, however, have to use Windows XP for my execution platform so I use it through Parallels on my Mac. What I don't understand is how to stop IE from popping up all these random ass windows that are like WinAntiVirus Pro scans and dog food ads and all this crap...and then they won't close! Is there some software I can install to make this all go away? Thanks
