I agree with brown. Since I rely on patterns to view the market, I usually don't make a bias until the patterns are confirmed (resistance becomes support and vice versa). The selling off during the Shanghai market drop left quite a dent on the pattern, forming a rising wedge. It's broken down but it still has to prove itself by rolling over. So far it hasn't, so it's still bullish. A related pattern to this is a possible double-top (each trader sees the market differently). But nothing is confirmed yet.

I miscalculated. It's supposed to be 2.06. London has been selling all morning since the close of Tokyo.
-
I don´t plan to get in until the pullback is finished. Very nice move in last 2 days though. I target the move to 2.05 from the rectangle formation beneath the breakout.

Wow! Looks like an important this week as the GBPUSD is making new highs! Fortunately (or unfortunately), I'm flat. I have no idea where it'll go until it finds support somewhere first before taking the plunge. EURUSD is not that far behind either, near 1.3666 all time high. I'm flat on this one as well.

I agree with cooter on this. The volume might not be sufficient enough compared to the regular Ags; slippage might be a problem vs. real pit trades. The reaction may be different as well, electronic vs pit. So the training ground won't be the same when you finally get to the real thing and it'll be like trading a different product all together again.

Is this a free webinar or paid? Would be curious to see his views on these products. Thanks.

How do you determine a breakout from a false breakout?
torero replied to Blaze's topic in Technical Analysis
I thought the 825 was the measured from the double bottom. If you mean the last gasp on late Friday on new high with low volume, I think I see it. It closed at resistance, 825, top of the old unfilled gap. I've noticed close at resistance is usually a selloff the next morning. Might just be my bias though. -

Humble1! Nice to have you on board. Insightful observation with concrete explanation as usual. Hope you can contribute more in the future! -
Thanks, mo, you answered my question from another thread.

I think I'm getting delayed quotes on TS for Ag's. There's another $50 for regular products (not emini) for live quotes. Is this true? I'm still not getting emini Ag's at all.

L2 are nothing but a platform for headgames and mindgames. But to stick with what's already fact, Time and Sales (tape). Showing is one thing but acting on the show is another.
-
I don't trade DAX yet, but am very interested. Unfortunately, TS is not very receptive with European markets. I may have to find another platform to observe for a while before even considering trading it. Any platform in Europe or US that is acceptable if not excellent for Eurex markets?
-
Good trade, Don. This thing is taking to all time high looks like.
-
Stick with it, Don. You're doing good. Hang in there.
-
What do you have in mind? Make it public, maybe we can all learn from the backtest.
-
cooter, tried that didn't see emini for corn, wheat and soybean, nada. Not sure if you have a different build from mine. 3264 build here.
-
I thought minis Ags are not offered yet. I tried the symbols given at CBOT in TS but only show symbol errors.
-
Malvado, I've used this tool for 2 years now and never had a problem. I use the screen capture and photo resizer tools. FastStone Image Viewer - Powerful and Intuitive Photo Viewer, Editor and Batch Converter
-
What tick charts do you use? I use 60min and 3000 tick charts with 600 tick for entries.
-
Wow, malvado! You beat us all! 8 screens and you DAX exclusively?!! Que guay!

Technical Analysis: Is it voodoo? Or does it work?
torero replied to Soultrader's topic in Market News & Analysis
I think stop-and-reverse strategies (always in the market) tend to have very high drawdowns. Although using a Advancing/Declining Issues is a not a bad tool, it's different than the typical indicators (stochs, MACD, etc).
