This will depend on how many instruments you are getting data for, the number of studies you are using and whether you have things like Radarscreen running. For me I have unlimited broadband so it is not an issue. Where in the UK are you ? Paul

In my view: 1) Because MT4 is free and so is the programming language 2) The datafeeds that can be used with it are also free 3) Forex is one of the lowest cost instruments to start trading. Paul

Goldman Sachs Code for Auto Trading Stolen
Trader333 replied to UrmaBlume's topic in Market News & Analysis
So it is OK for GS to manipulate markets but not anyone else. Quite frankly it is pathetic of them to even start complaining that someone has used unfair tactics (although illegal) to gain something from them when they are using unfair tactics (although legal) in the same way in my view. Paul -
Changing the code to include weekly and monthly is not easy although it is possible as I know others have already done it. Paul
-
How do you know have you tried using all of them ? Can you post a chart of how these look ? What is the name of the study that you are talking about ? Paul
-
I seem to remember seeing this on here already so have you done a search for it ? Paul
-
No you don't, as Tams says you can make your own ELS file by using the text version which is what I do and have done for Prosuite on numerous occasions. Sometimes you may have to make a few small changes but it is all quite easy. Paul
-
Are you using it with Tradestation or Esignal ? Paul
-
Why not buy it then ? Either way without knowing how it works then coding it is not possible. Paul

What you could do (which is a bit laborious but would work) is to rename the indicator being used for each of the timeframes you have it in. So if, for example, you used macd in four timeframes and they were 30 min, 60 min, 4 hour and daily then rename the indicator something like: 30_macd, 60_macd, 4hr_macd and dly_macd then insert the relevant one into the chart with the timeframe being used. It means you are due for a retracement Paul

If you read the code you will see that one version plots based on tick volume and does not discern between upticks or downticks at all. Paul

Check post number 2 by Tams as that has a link to it. Paul

I have no reservations about the code at all only my ability to find it as it was a long time ago. Paul

Yes but not on this site that I know of. A few years back it was done over at T2W under the Technical Trader Private Forum and I will try and find it but I wouldn't hold your breath. Paul

I am not clear on one aspect, can you clarify that the pressure model you use is based on transaction volume ? Paul

Nice trades and well done. I can see why you would take every trade except the last one listed to the right of your chart. Can you say why this was taken ? Paul
-
Tams, In your above examples of how this may be used you show three charts. The last one has the examples where price is above and below the MA. Is this the MA of the indicator or another MA ? Thanks Paul

Radar Screen Alert for Combined BR Indicators
Trader333 replied to simterann22's topic in Coding Forum
Yes there is but it is a bit complicated and requires the use of a global variable. I am not sure which version of TS you are using but for me to use global variables I had to place a file called globalvariable.dll into the program directory of Tradstation. Others probably know more than I do about this. Paul -
I am not sure what you mean ? The guidance is in the post with the attached spreadsheet and is as clear as could possibly be in my view so what more do you want ? Paul

Yes I agree, however it should look the same from an historical view for both of us using the same data feed. Paul

Hmm, curious as my IB feed into TS does not show this at the same time. Paul
