Citigroup at 6.30am US, I think. Bloomberg worth a try for this sort of thing.
-
More (appalling) bank results due later today!
-
Certainly some wacky action on the fut after the close.
-
As long as it doesn't break 450 today, I'll be happy(ish).
-
Almost down to 350, then up 80?? Short 430 triggered now.
-
Welcome back, FW. Hope you went long at around 10800?! Still hoping it'll get back to 350 by the close.
-
The most obvious reversal point is about now, 425-ish. so I'm short.
-
Rest closed for +3.
-
Half out for another +10.
-
Short again 280 (+11 and 0 on earlier posted short, so tight stops sometimes work!)
-
Short 239.

I have the same problem with spread betting. A trading method that consistently wins with futures just doesn't work with SB, partly because of the platform, partly because of the increased spread, partly because of the devious tactics they use. Better to just pay the commission and tax --assuming you make a profit! Bit late now because the offer stops tomorrow, but ODL have had zero spread on FTSE for a month or two. None of my business, but which DA broker do you use, btw?

Errmm... wider trailing stops would have helped a lot yesterday, but the same might not be true today. If there's any sense to the world, the Dow should drop a couple of hundred points, but who knows?:\

Very impressive, Foale. Just worked out that my net for the day on real trades was a brilliant -1.5pt! Meanwhile, my paper account (mostly longer-term trades from yesterday) cleared about 340pt. I should learn something from all that...
-
Quick way to blow 13pt. That's me well and truly done for the day.
-
Couldn't resist - short 152.
-
Half out before the news for +12, the rest for a fairly fluky +19 on the spike. Too much excitement for me today.
-
Long 111 (to prove my theory about 150 wrong...).
-
Looks uncannily strong at the moment. Another go at 150, then down, maybe?
-
Half out at 090.
-
Short 103.
-
+20... Yes, should've closed completely at 55.
-
Half out 055. +5 stop on rest.
-
Short 070 triggered!

Looks like no-one has a clue whether to buy or sell or go on holiday or shoot themself. Maybe if the Dow manages to break 980 it'll fly upwards?
