Probably just stupid. Anyway, one more go from 11000. (Edit: yes, that's supposed to be 11100)
-
And stopped out at 130 about two seconds later. Not a good day so far.
-
Trying again from 147.
-
Lucky to get out for +2. Expected a bounce!
-
Long 175, 200 target.
-
Could this be one of those days when the Dow just keeps going up and gains about 250pt? Very annoying if you're short (which I'm not, so there's a good chance we'll hit 10,000 today!).
-
Yes, but as with Northern Crock over here, you have to wonder who ends up paying for these disasters?
-
Will the positive mood in the US last once the implications of the Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac development sink in?
-
Nerves of steel there, Foale:thumbs up:
-
Don't like this spikiness. Closed half 006 in case something drastic happens in the wrong direction (unless you're long, Foale!). If it does break through 11000 again could be a BIG drop?
-
Another short from 030.
-
Closed 007. Looks like sideways chop could set in now, Mr Bond.
-
Short 031.
-
GE update will wobble the markets. Bad news will send Dow down below 11000, I reckon.
-
...I should've left it running or scaled out, though!
-
230 limit hit, and it's still going down.
-
Was going to short at about 260 on first peak, but dithered. Now in at 264, but not going to hang around if it reaches 280.
-
Out 160.
-
Repeat run from 184 this time.
-
165 limit hit, although target should probably be 11000.
-
Short 187... but 200 would have been preferable, if you see what I mean.
-
Expected a bigger fall first thing on the Europeans, don't know about later. Is there any remotely good news around to support a rise?
-
Pleased to hear it. As I've been finding recently, the problem then is getting the courage to make a reappearance. Not trading is a great way of minimising losses, but it's hard to make a profit!
-
Good luck, FW. We'll try to hold the fort in your absence.

Looks like a grim day tomorrow for the FTSE and DAX.
