I have shorted 3 days ago from 138.4, and it has done quite well. Looking to close around 128. But all reports I am reading says in short term it should at least back down to 120.

It was because I put 6250 as target. I swear everytime I post something, it just starts going the other way......

Why did I close out........... My original target was 6250 anyway........ I get scared too easily now a days..........:crap:

I am glad I took the effort to change the stop before I left! Nearly got eaten alive! Why didn't the market fall when I shorted this morning..... I didn't like Fridays, I am starting to dislike Thursdays as well.....:o

Sorry, was in meeting just now, moved the stop to break even before I left. Out at +3. Very confused with this spread betting thing. Doesn't go in the price I set, and doesn't come out the price I set..........

Yea, I agree. The SB method needs getting used to and i feel a bit cheated everytime I open a position with them stealing some poitns off me. But I am only doing very small bets to practice, so it doesn't matter. I use Interactive Brokers, I think they are quite good.

Yup .3 ...... I have just opened a spread bet account to have a play around at smaller mutlipliers. Not doing too well lately, even the e-minis are getting a bit pricey. But the spread difference on spread betting is so big, I have lost like 3-5 points just from the spread as soon as I open a position........

They are celebrating they got something correct! LOL It has been happening the last few months, when data comes out better or in line with prediction, the market rally, as the worst has already been factored in and is correcting itself.

The non-farm payroll and jobless calms was in line with expectation. Even thou expectation was that the economy is getting worst.

Out at b/e. 395 seems to be a support at the moment.

I believe flat for a while, then it will break up a few hundred points over one or two weeks. Then start diving again. Cannot really give any number, have not been doing much hw during the holidays.

Hello boys, Just came back from Hong Kong and this place seemed pretty quiet for the last few weeks. Hope everyone is doing well. Over the holidays I have been thinking about going full time, but I was hoping to go into a firm or arcade so I can get some mentoring. I was wondering what did you guys considered and what do you find to be the most difficult in trading full time? Would also appreciate if you guy could give some names or firms that you need is hiring, as I have sent out a few CVs and have heard nothing back. Its making me very sad....:smoking:LOL Cheers, Matt
