  1. Wondering if anyone out there has tried or is currently using this site and the method from this site? Would like to hear your review about it. Thank you!
  2. that all sounds good, but in this business seeing is more believing. Every website has posted good results, but then when you actually get to see it perform in real time it is usually a different story. Why is that, I don't know? Again, why don't they offer a free one week trial to the room where they broadcast the system running on a real time chart so you can sit there and watch it trade. Again, so many other software vendors are willing to do it. I would not consider software vendor that is not willing to let you see the system run in real time during market hours. I don't care what BS reason BWT wants to give, it is BS and the system must not be very good if they are not willing to let potential users see it before making the big purchase. I would stay away and go test more legit software products ou there!
  3. I understand the point of the trend is in the eye's of the beholder. I also understand a trend method on a choppy day will not do well. Just like a counter trend method won't do well in a strong trending day. I simply would like to try or study a few trend following methods just to see how they respond to various situations. In the last year it just seems that all I ever run into are counter trend methods. I understand there is no holly grail out there even though Monty Python did make the subject into a great movie. I am trying to use the experience of the group to save time and point me in the direction of a few trend trading software vendors, gurus, or free methods out in internet space.
  4. I have been looking at various software packages and even sat in trading rooms where gurus are trying to sell their trading method. I am very surprised to find that all of them seem to be counter trend traders. I know trend is in the eye of the trader, but I keep it simple. I have 9min chart with a 34 ema on it. If price bars are closing above the 34 ema then market is in an UT, opposite for DT. There are days where price and the 34 ema will move up all day, today 10/29 is a good example. Oh almost forgot, trading the emini S&P and NQ. Bring up the above chart and I think all traders will agree 10/29 was an up trending day. Interesting yesterday, 10/28 was the exact opposite, it was a DT day all day. I am looking for a software package or service that gives signals going with the trend, not against it. Sure there are pullbacks against trend, but to me the best and safest trades are the ones going with the current trend. I also understand that there are days where the trend changes 2-4 times during the day. But, my experience has been that the 9min trend remains intact for hours at a time most often. Can anyone tell me about a software signal pkg or trading room service that is trend following. Again, I have been in a few rooms and I compare the trading calls vs my 9min chart and so often they are going against what I call the 9minute trend and they usually pay the price and then comes the excuses. I have also looked at off the shelf trading software signal packages and again see so many signals trying to pick the top or bottom against the trend. I am asking for help because so far I have not been able to find anything that fits what I have developed as my trading personality. Thank you for any help or advice you can pass my way.
  5. I sat in on a webinar for this system the other day. It was like most others, showing lots of winning hindsight 20/20 old static charts. I asked him to do a live webinar showing his trades executing at the hard right edge of the screen and then came all the excuses. I guess this probably answers all of my questions. But, I would like to hear from anyone out there who might have more extensive experience with this system seller. A valuable part of this thread is saving people from wasting their money on bad systems. Thank you and good trading!
  6. TRO, thank you for post #321. Very good reading, can you tell me what book this was from? I say this because you post page numbers next to each paragraph. Lastly, if you like a particular post and want to print it out, how do you do this? Thank you again for the help!
  7. I want to thank you for a great thread. I am a struggling trader and your videos are a huge help. I hope this starts a trend of people using video in their threads. I don't know if it is difficult to use video, but it sure is great! I was wondering if you could do another one or two videos of your setup and rules to take a trade. I went through all of your videos and one explained your basic setup and it seemed so simple. But, then future videos showed you passing on some tdes and then taking others. So then I became confused as to what you were using for your entry trigger. I hope this is not too much to ask? I also hope you will keep this thread going, it has really been great to see a method illustrated thru voice and video. Thank you!
  8. Obviously you never know who is really writing the reviews, but I am surprised that this product is not getting slammed. Most of the time I find that any product that is reviewed here is slammed pretty good. So maybe this is not a bad product? I actually have a friend who just bought this software about 30 days ago. He is not using it live yet, but he likes it and is going to go live soon. I am going over to his house next week to watch it in action. I will write again as soon as I have some experience watching it run.
  9. What software needs to be downloaded to run these video files with .swf extension. I click on them but my computer tells me I don't have the proper player software to run them. Please tell me what site I need to visit to find the software download. Thanks.
  10. Hello, well I attended the RSofHouston webinar today. At first they played their usual intro slideshow that I have seen before. Then they explained one of their price action setups and this was pretty good. My thought, from this you can start to see if their method has a fit to your trading personality. My only problem was then they showed 20 different old 20/20 hindsight charts showing how well this setup has worked in the past. Of course they showed a few failed setups too. My problem, in this modern internet marketing world, why don't they have a day of real time trading at the hard right edge where they can call out their setups in real time. Nobody expects them to all work, but at least you can then see that they do have a method and they can make real time calls. Most importantly a trader can see if the method has a personality fit. Their course is expensive, but what do I know, they are obviously still selling people on their courses even with these crappy webinars. I am still surprised that more traders have not come out to comment on this trader education company.
  11. Hello TL Members, Does anyone out there have any experience with this trading education service? They obviously put out good marketing material, but I would like to hear from fellow traders if this is a worthwhile service or another rip off service? I can tell you I have tried Traders International and Ablesys and they both suck, stay away from these two educational (or trading tool services). I am surprised with the number of traders on this forum that we don't have one thread where everyone posts their experiences with the 1000's of educational providers out there. Maybe this can be the thread? Post what you have tried and if it was good, bad, or neutral.
  12. I sat in his real time trading room for a few days and was impressed with his trading. His system I can't say was that great or maybe I did not completely understand it. But, he would call out trades in real time that were generally very good. The problem is he seemed to be calling out trades based on his experience as a trader and not based 100% on his rules. So he does have skill as a trader. He would call out a trade and the market would often do what he said it would do, so I was impressed with his trading skill. I took the TI course with Roger 5 or 6 years ago when he was a teacher for TI. I left TI very quickly because even as a newbie I could see it was BS. They always had a little nuance as to why this did not work. TI is crap, they would have to show me 10 days of real time trading, making real time calls before I would believe it has become something of value. To bad for me, it cost me lots of money for nothing. Felton left TI and started his own gig and I just learned about this in the past 6 months and that is when I sat in his room on his one week free trial. I did not sign up for his course because it is expensive and I don't have the money at this time. Five years ago I might have paid it, but I am no longer a newbie and I also know about TL now. Way back when I did not know about these forums where you could ask people about their advice and it has cost me money. I am in no way associated with Felton, I am just a unsuccessful trader who has tried various methods over the past 6 years in the quest of becoming a consistent $100 per day profit trader. If you PM me I can tell you other methods I have tried unsuccessfully. Everyone always says look at the charts. Well I would love to find a real time trading room with voice and charts where the trader calls out trades in real time based on the chart and walks you through the logic of what the chart is telling you at that time and why you are going long or short. I understand not every trade will work, it would just be a great educational experience. I would not be in the room to piggy back tdes or fish. But, I would be there to learn how to fish. I teach tennis and most tennis players are hackers(bad players) because they never paid an instructor to teach them the basics of how to hit the ball. All good tennis players took lessons from a teaching pro. There is not one professional tennis player on the tour who is self taught. They all took tennis lessons from a pro as a kid. I am not sure why trading does not have any legitimate educational sites taught by seasoned pro's. My tennis student's watch me hit the tennis ball and right away they can see that I am a very good player and know what I am talking about. Not sure if this helps, still searching! Best of luck and if you end up taking a course come back and tell us the truth about it. We can eliminate the fraud people by exposing them.
  13. Sorry, just thought of some more questions: The forex market, I have never traded the forex market. As I stated previously I have been trading the ES. I have heard I guess you can say bad things about the forex market and to be careful. I really can't give details, just stuff I have heard over the years. Is it key to have a good Forex broker that has honest tight spreads? Who are the better Forex brokers out there to open an account with? I guess I understand if I use limit orders I can only get that price, correct? So hard for me to get ripped off under this scenario? Someone on this thread mentioned that it is not easy to trade for only a +10 to + 20 pip gain, the broker won't like it or will somehow do something to screw you up? Is this true and what did he mean by the broker screwing you? I have heard before if you can make net +20 pips per day you can do pretty well with this. Is this true? Can you recommend where I should go to study and learn more about the forex market? Obviously I would start very small so I can't get hurt too badly if things don't go well. Sorry about all the questions but you really bring up some interesting thoughts on this thread. Forex is new to me and I personally would really like to apply this to the es during the day and maybe forex at night. I am on the West Coast USA, what are good pairs to trade at night? Thank you to anyone who can give me some guidance, it is greatly appreciated.
  14. First, I must comment that maybe I am slow, but for the 115 posts I really could not follow what you meant on how to trade this edge. I kept reading you say how simple it is, but I could not get where your entries were and what you were doing. So I kept reading and came to post 116 and 119 and then all became clear! Well at least it seems so to me right now. I am sure more questions will pop up when I actually start watching a one hour chart. A few questions: Where can I go to download metatrader? Is this a free charting software package? What real time data feed do you recommend I use to feed the charts? Is there a free real time data feed for MT? I guess I have more than a few questions. I trade the emini S&P500, ES, Do you anyone out there have any experience with this method on the ES? I am surprised that you don't trade the futures market, would like to hear why not?
  15. Thanks Z trader, that is great advice and I will get to work. There is so much info here at this great forum. My only wish that I would have found this site sooner. I have already spent too much money on junk that did not help so I am in no hurry to spend more. Obviously I am still a struggling trader who is not ready to give up. So back to lots of reading, chart time, and continued education in my quest to becoming a successful trader. Again, thank you for taking the time to post positive guidance to a fellow trader. Best Wishes, Gecko
  16. Has anyone been throught this fx learning program? I was reading throught another site traderchat forums and there was a thread really touting how much they had learned taking this program. Wondering if anyone hear has any experience with it? I hear it is expensive, but I have only heard good things about it on this other thread. Would like to get more input if possible. thanks, gecko
  17. Hi, I am a Ninja trader user. Wondering about your tt trend indicator which I believe colors your bars red or blue. Do you know where i might find this indicator for download to NT. Also can I find the special CCI you are using? Maybe there is someone out there that is doing this on NT and can help me? I would like to develop in NT this chart template, it looks very interesting. Thanks, Gecko
  18. Not sure because I am not yet an expert on this indicator, but are the center line color circles supposed to change colors? Thanks, Gecko
  19. Does anyone have an opinion on TTWMacci trading system? I know he has a live room and he broadcast his charts live and shows trades. But, it has been a long time since I have been in the room and I believe some changes have been made. It is actually being called Pulslinetrader.com now. Any thoughts or experiences would be greatly appreciated.
  20. I am a Ninjatrader user and I found the ttm scalper indicator here at TL. Can someone pls direct me to where I can find TTM Squeeze, Trend, and Brick here at TL or on other forums? Did some searching but could not come up with anything. Thanks, Gecko
  21. someone mentioned the other indicators are around here somewhere. Can you please give me an idea of how I would go about finding them? I use NT and there was also a post showing red signal arrows occurring right after the white signal bar. Does anyone know where to download the code for this to NT? Thanks, Gecko
  22. ok thanks, will give it a try, that is what I thought. I thought they were chart templates putting all the indicators together in the chart properly, but i did not want to unzip and open anything and screw things up so I thought I would ask first for some guidance, thanks. MIA means missing in action, i guess walter has not visited tl in quite some time to chat or post. gecko
  23. I thought he might be since the dates were old on this forum, but with this simple file transfer I was hoping someone else who was working on this with him could help. Seems like i only have the problem of not knowing how to deal with the two zip files called 'chimps futures scalps' and 'chimp futures scalps2' zip files. I am new and was looking for a starting method to explore and his method seemed interesting to bring up on my charts and play with. You are experienced maybe you can steer me to a more current thread and a better method to explore? I don't know maybe this Walter thing was a waste of time for futures trading and did not work well? Does anyone have any feedback? Or maybe it works well and is a nice little scalping method? I am currently watching the ER2 emini russell on a daily basis. Any help is greatly appreciated. gecko
  24. Hello Walter, I am new to this thread and new to TL. Like others before me I am not an expert at NT, but I followed the post on how to move the indicators from post #10 & #38 and everything seemed to go pretty smoothly. However, when I built the charts they did not look anything like yours, so I guess there are problems that I need help with. It also leads me to some questions. This is a new computer and I don't have WinZip downloaded to it, do i need to have WinZip downloaded to my cptr when working with Zip files? Also for some reason my HP Laptop won't let me download things, can someone help me with my settings? Every time I try to download something from Cnet the page just closes and nothing happens. Okay, back to your indicators and charts. Your charts look so simple with a just a few indicators lines above and the special cci below, i really thought I could get it, but so far no success. Lastly, in both post #10 and #38 there are two files Chimp futures scalps.zip and chimp futures scalps2.zip, what are these files and are they important? I ask because when I tried to import them into NT. NT said they are not .XL files and would not do anything with them so they don't appear in my NT indicator file when I open NT. When I look into my NT files /charts they are sitting there, but NT would not allow me to import them so they are not in NT when I open and try and build a chart. The other indicators were opened by NT Import and they now appear under the indicator tab when I build a chart. So I guess I have a few problems to work through before I can build some charts that look like yours on this forum. If anyone could help me with these problems it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, gecko
