  1. Mrs. Erierambler, Thank you for letting us know. Some of us have "known" him and learned from him for a very long time. My condolences. Tannis
  2. These periods where volume intersects price and price hangs for awhile, are they what Wyckoff calls balance or equilibrium? Places where "traders who have placed themselves in a position to be trimmed are duly trimmed"? If so, is that also the dynamics in casas?
  3. I am posting OTTR as a foresight trade. Chart 2 My PnF shows target of maybe 32-33. The weekly shows areas price has peaked. Chart 1 I have looked at both of them more closely. The light green areas indicate what have been higher relative volume areas. May thru June 2011 Chart 3 August-October 2009 I would like to see a spring here, for entry. I would put the stop at around 20.69.

  5. I looked more closely at the weekly after you mentioned upthrust. Recently is an uptrust of the 2011 high. I think it would take quite a drop (to dots) for the trend to change weekly. Studies in Tape Reading has some on pressure. He gives an example of an operator leaving momentarily and without his holding prices down, the price floats up. When he returns, he presses it back down. That was his motivation. Looking intraday, it looks like the volume picks up as it approaches the dots at the 2011 high. I am thinking if downward pressure is being exerted to keep the price down, this leans to accumulation (?). But how does one see motivation?
  6. Thank you. I realized I had log settings and I have had my do-over using your reasoned comments.
  7. I don't talk much, but I have been following your example from 4/28 on SPX, which goes back to 2011. For me, these boxes help focus attention appropriately.
  8. I like your chart and comments. Here is my weekly. The volume was much heavier on the left side of the chart. For the potential supply, the volume has been pretty minimal here IMO. For me, a high risk entry here. TannisM
  9. Does auction bottom imply relatively low volume?
  10. Ahh! Here a couple more that would have been nice to know. Do you happen to know what formats the software uses? Thank you. I am finding the book more and more helpful with your help with my questions and the link to the blog.
  11. Do you know what time period he uses to calculate ATR?
  12. I can't seem to find "normalized volume" in the book. Can you tell me what it is or how it is calculated?
  13. DB- I don't understand what he means by Divergent/Covergent Lines. Do you think where he writes Divergent/Covergent lines he is referring to any of these notions: Baskerville, the Rhea Dow theory confirmations, something like Mamis' Market Action Indicators, a stock rising say on falling volume, fantasy lines like the MACD curling, something like the IBD RS-line or something else entirely? Thanks, Tannis
  14. 3. There is a random distribution between wins and losses for any given set of variables that define an edge. 4. An edge is nothing more than an indication of a higher probability of one thing happening over another. Is he saying that the edge is the probability the trader through skills, beliefs, baggage, experiences, etc. brings to the moment in time?
  15. Hi Lee, You might check this out. It can be free. http://www.quotetracker.com/

    Food

Wow! I think I get why my batter slips off off onion rings. Knowing it wouldn't compare with fried, what method do you think could be used to get oven cooked food as crisp as possible?
  17. Hi Kakuna, Are you asking for volume on the sides? Look under "Upper Indicators". It is the "Volume by Price".
  18. DB- If you ever think the charts I posted to Rambler have any value, I can go back to Feb of 99 on volume with defined increments on Stockcharts. Tannis
  19. Me too, Rambler, but now I use Stockcharts instead of my spreadsheets. Although I loved those spreadsheets with the pressure bulls eyes, I am liking the time to study the stocks and Wyckoff and others materials even more. These fractions on the right axis are equivalent to their respective percentages. I drew blue lines on 90%. I think I can set up volume and issues on the same spreadsheet. Later when I have more time, I'll post them together. I'd appreciate your opinion on what you think of stockcharts data. Thanks, Tannis
  20. Thanks for the chart. Is is the force EOD or intraday? I know how "secrets" indicates to calculate force, but have been wondering for the longer term why EOD force would not work. (EOD data is so accessible).
  21. Any thoughts on the Force EOD? Chat log 20140207.docx
  22. We have a little Mamis divergence in up and down volume approaching the yearly lows.
  23. Just an update on how it is going with the du Plessis log charts. Here is my latest look at PENN. (can't look back far enough intraday with stockcharts using User Defined). On the line chart, the region is extended to the left in the 52ish area. The stop-look-see from the new area is calculated at 25 for now.
  24. Very clever teaching technique. Nueva percepcion.
