  1. Hi Fulcrum,

would it be possible also for me to participate to the chat?

    Thanks,

    Mike

  2. Hi UrmaBlume, thank you for your kind reply. I am a fan of Steidlmayer's work and I'm trying to update his teachings - with the help on an English gentleman - to the modern electronic markets. Did you follow Steidlmayer's work with Capflow? (my last question on this, since I don't want to transform your thread in a Market Profile oriented one). Cheers.
  3. Interesting thread UrmaBlume. With the term "Commercial" do you mean "Liquidity Data Bank CTI2", the "Commitment of Traders Commercials" (not so different, in any case) or something else?
  4. I'm in contact with another guy, but if he won't buy these I'll PM you.
  5. Hi 156, I agree with Omni. Just take the time to read "Mind over Markets" and "Markets in Profile" a couple of times (or more). I would first go for the free CBOT free handbook, that will give you the basis, but you will have to be patient to go through the entire manual! Nice avatar! (I have a GTV) Mike
  6. I have mine still for sale, if anyone is interested.
  7. Hi, just wanted to inform you that I'm selling my copy of the TradeGuider Professional Chart Reading Boot Camp (2 CD). Please PM me if interested. Thank you. Mike
  8. I use Global Futures and can say that they have a great Technical Support. I had a problem with J-Trader and they worked patiently to solv it today. Mike
  9. Alex, I didn't manage to find your MP101 and MP102 presentations at http://www.hotcomm.com/virmeetCID_EVENTARCHIVE.asp?CID=YMDZYQ Could you please provide the links to access your webinars ? Thank you, Mike
  10. Thank you for your impressive post, Alex. Now I'm a little bit more confused, but I know what to work on. Will try to elaborate and understand your post in the next few days. Thank you again! Mike
  11. Alex, I read only now your message. I have a few questions and would be pleased if you could reply: - do you have a picture of the tool you use to have the breakdown of price ? - by "buying seems to have been roughly 100k net" you mean that the trades done at the ask minus those done at the bid were 100k ? Thank you, Mike
  12. Dear Eiger, can't thank you enough for your amazing analysis: didn't know how VSA ignorant I was before reading your post ... you gave us a condensed treasure, that's for sure! I like how you mix VSA and Wyckoff, shakeouts and springs ... I will have to study Wyckoff now ;-) Reading again and again your post it became all evident, but I guess it will be a challenge for me absorbing these concepts and applicating these in real time markets ... but I like challenges, so let's get seriously involved in this. I have just one more question about the 19th: would you use bars in green circle to add to a long position ? If yes, wouldn't it constitute a poor risk/reward trade, as we have resistance not so far from S and T ? Have a great day and thank you again for your effor in explaining VSA ! Mike
  13. Hi Eiger, would you mind posting an analysis of mini S&P today's session (June 19) ? I had the impression that the market was taking me for a ride ... Thank you! Mike
  14. Thank you for your support, Db: let me evaluate the preview of your ebook and I will PM to you shortly. Have a great day, Mike
  15. Great, thanks for your suggestions Db. I will follow your indications and will order a few books about Wyckoff on Amazon, before evaluating if to take or not SMI course. Best regards. Mike
  16. Goodmorning DbPhoenix, do you know if the original Wyckoff course is still for sale ? If yes, do you know where can I find additional information about it and eventually who can I buy it from ? Thank you for your kind attention. Mike
  17. Hi OAC, Alleyb is Alex Benjamin runs http://www.tradingclinic.com , if I'm not wrong. Watched a couple of webinars held by him and found these interesting. Mike
  18. Thank you for your help and for starting this interesting thread, Eiger ! I followed your suggestions for my trading journal format, that is divided in 2 parts: the 1st is a schematic résumé of the entry price, reason I took the trade, the trailing of the stop, the exit etc., while the 2nd is dedicated to the comments, that are practically a reply to the questions you listed (I copied and pasted these). Have a great day! Mike
  19. Hi Eiger, your words incourage me to put effort in what I'm trying to accomplish. What I found difficult in creating a journal, is to be synthetic when writing notes ... however, I will try to re-introduce this habit, trying to be more schematic. (I used to keep a journal, but as many other Italians, I have the tendency to be lenghty) As regards trading psychology, I agree with Aaron and Tawe, please keep up the good work ! Have a good day! Michele

  21. Hi Aaron, I zoomed out the chart as you kindly suggested and have the impression to have a better picture of what the market did. I have also a 30' chart and a daily one, just to have support and resistance and a view of higher time frame condition. Ciao, Mike
  22. Hi Eiger, that's exactly what I was thinking when this pattern happened: "I'm not going to miss this one: I have to take position". Obviously I took the wrong one. I find your suggestion wise: I will incorporate this rule into my trading plan ... it may make me lose some tick because of the delay in entering position, however I'll hopefully be positioned better! As for the routine, I like to have a checklist: it helps me stay focused and makes me feel like I've done preliminary work and I'm in the position of searching opportunities in the market. Kind regards, Mike
