  1. An old lady who looks as if she is about to die. as it is the least obvious passenger choice
  2. SIUYA nailed it. This is called the Monty Hall problem... Monty Hall problem - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
  3. The bridges in bold are two different bridges.
  4. You have a free choice of one of the 3 doors, once you have made a selection the host will always show you a door with a goat behind it. Does that answer your question?
  5. Here is a "simple" probability problem: Suppose you're on a game show, and you're given the choice of three doors: Behind one door is a car; behind the others, goats. You pick a door, say No. 1, and the host, who knows what's behind the doors, opens another door, say No. 3, which has a goat. He then says to you, "Do you want to pick door No. 2?" Is it to your advantage to switch your choice?
  6. I'm not sure I understand your question but I disagree with The rule doesn't say if a door has a bird on its plant side, then it has a flower on its plant side For example if I had a door with an eagle on its animal side and an Oak on its plant side then the original rule would not be broken Programming wise the first rule could be enforced with IF plant side is a flower THEN Assert animal side is a bird but to enforce the bidirectional rule then you would need IF plant side is a flower THEN Assert animal side is a bird IF animal side is a bird THEN Assert plant side is a flower More code and more words in the rule would be required (IMO). Makes you wonder what the interviewer is trying to assess by asking this type of questions. The question is asked on an application form so the candidate doesn't have to think on their feet. 7. Lily door: Make sure it has a bird Eagle door: Doesn't matter what is on the other side as the rule doesn't say anything about the reverse relationship Fox door: Need to make sure it doesn't have a flower side Pine tree door: Already on the plant side and not a flower so doesn't matter I think the answer is 4
  8. There is a new user who is flooding the forum with posts. Putting them on ignore doesn't help because their posts are still returned by "Latest Posts" and "Today's Posts". Can the "Latest Posts" and "Today's Posts" be made to remove posts if made by users on your ignore list?
  9. Reversal Setup Summary: A double bottom/top on the 1m chart. A HL/LH on the 1m chart. I want to see buyers/sellers coming in aggressively and rejecting price at least 4 ticks This can take place in a 3 tick range from the level I plotted, so If i S at 40, I will take the reversal between 43 and 37 Problem 1: You are trading against the trend when catching reversals but that isn't the problem. If you waited for the new trend to be confirmed then you are not trading the reversal. A 4 tick rejection is not always enough and means that you enter on a smaller scale HL/LH or double bottom/double top that is on a smaller scale than the wave you are trying to catch. For example this is the FGBL line chart for 13/8/12: Solution: Only trade HL/LH double bottom/top that are proportional to the wave you are trying to catch. Maybe a rule about how far up the down swing the rejection gets? Perhaps also something about how long it takes to retest? TradeRunner
  10. Absolutely! I can't believe that most people would still trade. Live is so short and choosing to spend it in front of a screen on such an abstract pursuit seems like a bit of a waste. Personally, if you are in this position then I think you would be happier giving it away.

  14. Terrible - I'm always the last to buy and sell! Can you help with that? Just happened to catch you sneaking a peak and couldn't resist the post. Sorry! You do like to take an interest, and place great importance, in who is viewing your thread. I wonder what interests you have in that thread? TradeRunner
  15. Hey Steve Are you looking for tips on how to trade?
  16. No you didn't understand my meaning. We don't hear from any of your happy customers. Why not direct your customers to a thread about your products so they can sing your praises?
  17. In fairness we don't hear anything from them. Why not start a thread so your customers can critique your products?
  18. Totally agree with this. I would be wary of people that chop and change as they probably have a different agenda.
  19. As Steve has already pointed out they don't contain enough detail to make that judgement. Your are a programming entrepreneur who sells trading systems. You have said it in your old blog. You don't need to add tag lines because a link is already built into your details window. Why are you selling trading systems? If they worked then why not trade them yourself and cut out the hassle of having customers.
  20. Ok: You sell trading systems. If your systems worked you wouldn't bother selling them.
  21. Not all vendors are equal. You are what I would categories as a true vendor. You say it in your (original) blog: About: I'm an entrepreneur, programmer, interested in trading.. Entrepreneur first trader last (and just an interest in trading!). I'm not aware that Steve sells anything. As to the site owner. They are entrepreneurs to and there job is to drive traffic to their site so that they can make money selling advertising. They don't need to judge the quality of the posters because newbies (majority of the traffic) can't make that value judgement. The main reason your are here is to drive people to your new blog so that you can sell to them. You use language in your posts to convince potential customers that you are the real deal, not to make them more interesting. TradeRunner
  22. Aren't you doing the same thing with your posts? For example Same kind of BS Steve sometimes posts. Designed to impress newbies in my opinion. TradeRunner
  23. This was something I was watching from the 14th. I saw the hinge in real time and anticipated a bounce at the hinge centre and it wasn't a shock to see price reverse where it did. Not the best opportunity of the day, but thought I should sit through some ranges for the practice. I don't have any questions, but comments welcome. TradeRunner
