FYI, I don't SAR all week like this normally! There is method to my madness, this is just a dire Monday! Occasionally I even take a profit! Still, only 24 pips out of pocket on Monday afternoon...

I am but its messy atm. I'll alert you to when there are some good snippets! I'm in the process of posting my analysis at the end of the week and it'll show 15 year old tried and tested setups again and again and again...... :o

Me? I'm having a horrid day! I've been in and out a ton of times already and just posted my last long 10 minutes ago but was playing bubbles in the garden with my niece so it wasn't live... Its at -5 as we speak anyhow!

Keep an eye on my journal, there will be plenty of simple and unbelievably basic price based setups in there, anyone can knock 'em out!

Glad to hear I'm not the only one like that, despite my little display earlier getting scuppered by the 162 level! :embarassed: I find reading all this from you guys and galls and now GJ too fascinating but I find with just my trusty laptop and a 240m with a 60m chart, concentrating on just a selection of markets that move (Damn you eurjpy today!) is a viable little setup. I only look for certain setups and criteria and it certainly pays the bills... That's it in a nutshell I think. Simple, sweet, short and sharp. In and out and picking the cherries. Cut them losses and wait the next opp. I find a hammock works well! How do you think you all would do if you had none of the extras you do? Just a chart and the TV for company....?!

Going by the ''busy day tomorrow'' thread mate, we are in the minority. With us being lowly retailers and only a chart as company, competing with GJ the bank trader and the US wealthy family of Anna/Jocelyn/Milliard and co with all the technology, news and prime access, we are at the lowest run of the ladder, indicators or price action! As long as we are making money! Don't think I will be as useful as I thought I may be here though! Keep too myself I think! :embarassed::embarassed:

Closed EJ @ 162.14 for -4 Long EJ @ 162.14 Freedom to trade and post once again now the family has gone. The rejection of 162 and re-cross of upper level and trendline sent me long once again with another loss Its been a frustrating few days with positions moving into profit but nothing following through. It happens. Accept, move on. I know come end of the week it'll be fine but it annoys me to get out of bed for such a waste of a day!

It normally averages 3/2 so worry not. Monday through Wednesday last week were great with dire end to the week so looking for the opposite this week! He says, in hope!

You are probably better off opening an account with Alpari (London based) and using them to practise. You can trade very small with them and use their Alpari platform. I don't think you can link metatrader and IB but you'd best check with someone like FW or Kiwi as I really don't know. (PS. just going to move these posts over to the Off, yet on topic thread)

Yeah sorry, my mistake, it would have been an interesting stop for a short, 75 points lower! :doh: If you look in FILE > NEW CHART > FOREX > then scroll to EURJPY and/or GBPJPY which is what I am trading, although only EURJPY this week, I just call it EJ for speed. Mini are available and I know you could trade as small as 5p per pip with some of the bucket shops like Alpari. Is that what you need/mean? If you are looking to trade FX, take a look through ''busy day tomorrow'' thread, read anything by GammaJammer and keep a view on here, it may help, but sure Firewalker will tell you different regards me! :shocked:

Would normally have closed over weekend. Things are changing and as it stands they were kept. Anyhow... GJ Closed @ 203.50 for +40 Concentrating solely on EURJPY (EJ) this week.
