Stayed out of some trades which would have gone against me. 1 point, 1 contract.

Seeking Rec on Zen-fire Compatible Broker
bathrobe replied to taotree's topic in Brokers and Data Feeds
I am pretty sure Dorman makes you use an introducing broker. -
Still trading with very small account, today was positive despite what the NT blotter shows, it takes into account a losing ZB trade I did on SIM. Account should be up to full size soon.
-
Brownsfan, You are very impressive with the ZB, along with candlestick analysis do you use the 50 ma, the 30 yr, really seems to respect this?

These look pretty good. NTI--The Multi-Monitor Display Experts, Computers & Internet.

I depends on your own tolerance for risk, I go in with 3 points (12 ticks) and modify if I need to.

Seeking Rec on Zen-fire Compatible Broker
bathrobe replied to taotree's topic in Brokers and Data Feeds
Also, the 4.40 at Mirus is without negotiating at all, that was the rate they offered and it seemed fair to me. Taotree, The margin of 500 at mirus and 400 at amp is trading only 1 contract. -
Seeking Rec on Zen-fire Compatible Broker

I am sorry about the mixup, I can not speak for AMP commission, but Mirus is $4.40 per RT, and it gets lower with increased vol. The 4.40$ commission applies to all account sizes. -

also, at Mirus you can clear through Dorman or RCG, I believe AMP is Dorman. The small margin is for all account sizes. -

ES margin at Mirus would be $500 intraday and at AMP it would be $400, also neither of these fluctuated at all during the crash or the volatility. -

Mirus and AMP. I use Mirus, no complaints. -
Mirus is very professional, they will not hold your hand. Unfortunatly you may need hand holding if you use Ninja Trader, which I liked until I found out why it is free. The trades are executed quickly, I have cheap commissions, Zen-Fire is reliable, and my broker went above and beyond the call of duty when opening my acct. I rated the datafeed Very Good and not excellent because Zen-Fire crashed twice (luckily no trades during this time!)

Here you go with all. Blu-Ray is an amazing programmer of indicators. The DDF Value chart I sent about 5 minutes ago is helpful to me. I hope these help you. They are about midway down the page ;) http://www.traderslaboratory.com/forums/46/various-indicators-squeeze-2fastmas-etc-3688-4.html

Hello again, you should watch this instructional video before you use the proprietary indicator:2c: http://www.tradethemarkets.com/products/item7.cfm

-
Look through these depending on your charting: http://www.traderslaboratory.com/forums/search.php?searchid=409550 If you use Ninja Trader the scalper and squeeze are located on the indicator forum. I hope this helps.

I will not be posting for a while (~2 weeks), I need to add money to my account to take trades I feel comfy with, this should be next week some time. Chris
-
Thanks for wanting to help. My problem is totally psychological. My account is pretty small and I get pretty nervous when in the trade.
-
My goal was to hold out for more points this week, I ended up not taking the .75 points the trade gave me, and ended up losing three. I am happy with my entry though, overall it was ok I guess. The trade came down to my stop exactly and then rallied 9 points. This happens:doh:

4/3/09 Need to learn to stay in trades longer.

A footnote to my P/L thread posts........Many of my orders over the last two weeks have not been filled, I scale in and for the most part have only been filled on the first part of my order.
-
NT froze in the middle of a trade and stopped showing the order flow on the dom. I managed to get out with a tick.

Had a buy at 798 and did not get filled, I will not chase the market so I missed the move. Took a counter trend buy near the end of day while in trade realised it was the end of month and quarter and quickly got out for +.5
