Murdoch: Web Sites to Charge for Content
bathrobe replied to Soultrader's topic in Market News & Analysis
I can't imagine paying for website access. I think many would be angered by the very idea. -
My initial stop is 3 points, but I move it depending on where the nearest S/R level is and place it up to 3 ticks behind it depending on how strong I feel the trade is.
-
No trades today, acct should be back up to size next week. The smaller acct. has taught me to be more careful where I place my orders.
-
Thanks so much for your help.

HAL9000, With Button Trader are you able to scale into positions where it averages the price (when I tried the demo it opened a new separate, non-averaged trade at each price level I bought/sold) If you can scale with it averaging please point me in the direction of a source that teaches this. I loved everything about BT except this. Thanks in advance.

Taking small 1 contract scalps.
-
:applaud: Brownsfan It is very impressive that you cover many markets and wait for your setup each time.
-
The 1 positive of the smaller account is that I have found some new setups that work under current conditions rather well. When I am more capitalized I will let them run more.
-
I am still trading with small account. Should not be much longer though.

[market profile] Free Market Profile for Ninja Trader
bathrobe replied to bathrobe's topic in Technical Analysis
If you go into the properties section and remove the candlesticks, vertical and horizontal lines and anything else that clutters up the chart you do not like, the Market Profile Chart looks much better, and the letters are much more easy to read. -
Sensei, Trading how you normally would do according to your plan in a funded account in my opinion will teach you the actual psycholigical aspects that every trader deals with every day. SIM is great for many, I just believe that the fear/greed do not play the role they normally would without real money on the line.

[market profile] Free Market Profile for Ninja Trader
bathrobe replied to bathrobe's topic in Technical Analysis
No I don't, but you could contact TradingStudies.com - Custom programming for electronic trading platforms..., they created a P&F chart and I think stretched the price axis out, or Final| Financial Algorithms created market profile that they sell and I think they could probably stretch the price axis.:applaud: -
I found this in the dungeons of the NinjaScript site. I did not code this nor have I applied it to real time yet (my Friday evenings are so exciting). If any of you can code in Ninja C+ maybe you can make it better. THE CHART MUST BE SET TO 30 min TIMEFRAME TO WORK I am learning MP currently so this should help me see it unfold in realtime MarketProfile1.2.zip

Ronin, do you trade ZB using fundamental analysis? -
I was not as impressed with the Ninja Trader version as I hoped (eotpro seems to make calls before the move quite often, the indicator I posted acted more like an RSI or a fast MA (after the fact). I have been in contact with some C++ programmers to build one the same as eotpro.com's. The programming is somewhat expensive, however if it ends up being the same as eot it would be well worth the price over and over. Anyhow, what I am getting at was you should look into this option, I am sure there are many more TradeStation programmers than those for NT. I hope it works out for you guys.
-
Another thing, next week I may start to look for 30 yr. setups to take live. For now all my ZB trades have been on sim.
-
Waited all day for info on banks, quit a little early due to headache.
-
Also, it says here Trading Platforms. NINJATRADER. Brokerage and Data Feed Support. that NT and TS are compatible. Hope it helps.
-
This is the indicator I posted above using NT, filtered to 100 or more contracts on a 610tick chart.

Trade Strategies Using Vwap (index Futures)
bathrobe replied to bathrobe's topic in Technical Analysis
No I have not, thanks:) -
Hello, I am wondering if anyone has any strategies they would like to share using the VWAP? I can see using this as a target if it is at first or second standard deviation and you also have a setup that matches your trading plan. I would like to know how others use it.
-
Thank you for the breakdown of how it works, I am trying to code in NT, using the wizard........this will help very much.
-
Let me know how it works for you and if it is like the one in the video. I could use MultiCharts with my feed.
-
I know you guys wanted it for TradeStation, but I think TS and NT are compatible, if not you can get a demo for NT through Mirus which will never run out and apply it there. I believe this is it for NT. This is not my own creation. I downloaded it off of NT Script page. I will let you know tomorrow how it works. I have it set to filter at 100 so it does not work in after hours really. BAVolCounterGtr.zip
