  1. You are making threads collide. What happens in "Arm or Disarm stays in Arm or Disarm". You are screwing up the facts. I would shoot an intruder if I had a gun in my home. I do not play golf so I do not have golf clubs, but I do have composite baseball bats.
  2. Guns and drugs are very much related. When you look at countries who have large drug issues, there is a large gun issue. Not necessarily lots of guns, just lots of murder. by guns. If you change the drug laws, you'll impact the homicide rate. No doubt in my mind. The gun amnesty program is a good program. It would circumvent the NRA lobbyists. The enthusiasts who want to keep guns can keep them, and the people who want to get rid of them do. Plenty of the gun deaths are by accident from guns that are available to people (children) who do not know the basics of gun handling.
  3. my solution woks for the originally stated puzzle.
  4. it was a train track from a model train set. He had a car or foot bridge that crossed the track. He walked over the tracks with the bridge between his legs, making him go across the bridge and around it at the same time with his feet.
  5. interesting article. Do you know how much the population grew over the same period? A guess is about 30% over almost 20 years. So, still less guns In Australia. per capita than in 1996
  6. Yes, something like that; plus, G^& F^&**((^& D^&&*& it! I hate trading!
  7. A good trader in a bad year losses less than a bad trader in a bad year. A good trader in a good year makes more than a bad trader in a good year. A good trader has more good years than a bad trader. 30% of 5000 doesn't even cover property tax in some parts of the world.
  8. the man is on the train. He walks in the train as the train crosses the bridge. He doesn't even have to be walking
  9. I contacted my congressman and requested that he sponsor a request for a 28th amendment: Right to Bear Missiles I know you say it, but I don't think you really think it.
  10. The year was 1991. He was Iraqi. He was crossing the bridge and he was hit by a missile fired by an American fighter jet at the same time. He was crossing it and he ended up going "around it" at the same time.
  11. The method isn't as important as the message. Cutting losses and admitting you are wrong is one of the most important parts of trading. If you enter trades that have a large enough profit potential, if you get out prematurely because of a stop, then there should be plenty room to get back in even if it is at a worse price. Another important part of trading is to only take trades that have a decent profit potential. Trading for trading sake is for the degenerate gambler. There are certainly more parts, but these 2 are pretty important and not easily grasped.
  12. That is true. My wife isn't an American citizen and when we have sex she calls it assault. Admittedly the weapon isn't deadly. These days, I would barely categorize it as a weapon at all.
  13. Tell you what. I don't believe for a moment that you support what you post here. You seem to be just a sieve for NRA propaganda. I won't call you conservative or religious, because you are far from both. You certainly have not displayed characteristics of either here. On the other hand, if you state that you would support the loose gun laws as we have them even if it meant losing your own child to a crime committed by another individual who goes on a rampage with a legally purchased gun, then I will respect that you are truly an advocate for your cause. Until then, IMO, you are a confused, delusional, easily fooled, myopic, etc. Exactly the guy I want on the opposite side of my trades.

  15. NationMaster - Crime stats: United Kingdom vs United States In the United Kingdom firearms are tightly controlled by law, and while there is opposition to existing legislation from shooting organisations,[citation needed] there is little wider political debate, and prior to recent gun crime figures [1] public opinion had favoured stronger control.[2] The British Shooting Sports Council now believes that the law needs to be consolidated but it does not call for a review.[dead link] This article's factual accuracy may be compromised due to out-of-date information. Please help improve the article by updating it. There may be additional information on the talk page. (January 2013) The United Kingdom has one of the lowest rates of gun homicides in the world with 0.07 recorded intentional homicides committed with a firearm per 100,000 inhabitants in 2009 compared to the United States' 3.0 (over 40 times higher) and to Germany's 0.21 (3 times higher).[3] With the exception of Northern Ireland, it has been public policy that police officers in the United Kingdom should not generally be armed with firearms.[4][5][6] Despite police being unarmed, shooting fatalities of members of the police are extremely rare; there were three in England and Wales in the eleven-year period from 2000/01 to 2010/11.[7] About 7,000 police officers have received firearms training.[6][8] Standard police firearms include the Heckler & Koch G36 assault rifle [9] as well as the Heckler & Koch MP5 sub-machine gun, both rifles are semi-automatic carbine's along with semi-automatic pistols such as the Glock 17. [10] [11] Just wow! People lie, number don't. Can you show me how more firearms = less violence please?
  16. You still haven't answered. The California shooting wasn't a massacre. Try to answer intelligently without polarizing your response to your conservative liberal stand-off. How would more guns have kept the child from being shot?
  17. they'll have 2 days of training. The children will be safe. Everyone can learn how to properly use a handgun in a high stress situation in 2 days. The military wastes a lot of time and money with extensive training. They should follow the Ohio district lead. It'll be great. They'll be able to defend themselves against grammar school kids with lethal chicken finger guns. Shoot them instead of suspend them. Boy suspended for pointing chicken finger like gun - The Firing Line Forums
  18. Is that your answer, dude? Protectong innocent life is anti-constitutional? Please, I am interested. Tell me more, dude.
  19. You didn't answer. How would more guns have prevented the shooting? Think before you push you agenda as an answer. I am very curiuos as to how more guns would have stopped that kid. Btw the kid's gun was a good guy's gun. Here is your chance to convert me.
  20. You haven't mentioned anything about the califonia school shooting. Another legal hand gun. Care to comment? How would more guns have helped?
  21. Ha ha, Yes, that is it isn't it? It's the apocalypse the ardent nra supporters are waiting for.
  22. If I speak to my wife at any point during execution of a trade. I exit. My win rate is low. It costs me less in the long run to exit any trade I am in rather than to be puzzled by my selection of a mate.
  23. You need to develop a methodology to remain in a trade that provides you with objective "lines in the sand" that you can properly execute each time you take a trade. What you are describing is going to happen no matter what you try to do. You can try to minimize the times that it happens, but the fact is that it is going to happen. The best thing to do is salvage your mind, knowing that you did everything you could have done to stay in, given the information that you had at that time. Things you want to consider in your methodology are: What do you want to see happen in order to get into a trade. What do you want to see happen to stay in a trade. What do you need to see happen to get out of a trade. There are more system specific questions that you need to answer, but these are the basic building blocks. Jesse Livermore traded on inside information and by the seat of his pants and played Monday morning quarterback. You are not learning what he did; instead, you are learning what he should have done. There are really no records of his claims. A great deal of it sounds like bullshit to me, especially the part about cleaning out the bucket shops because he was so good. Give me a friggin break.
  24. Are you kidding? Being a kid was great. I can go on and on about the fun I had and the shit I was able to get away with, but being an adult is so much better. As kids we had limited mobility, legal restrictions, difficulty attaining money to buy things, lack of knowledge, etc. Oh my God all the mistakes that I made that I do not make anymore. It isn't that I don't make mistakes because i certainly do, but I don't make the same dumb mistakes that I used to make over and over again as I did when I was younger; younger includes anything up to yesterday. I welcome the future with arms wide open for anything I can do with it, but you would have to drag me kicking and screaming to go back through the years of my youth knowing that I would make similar mistakes again. The guys that make the most money are the guys that trade long term trends, know how to trade trends, and are trading trends in a period of time when there are are long term trends and quit at or about the time that markets stop trending. If they remain humble they can walk away with a lot of money. The guys that believe that they have something to do with it, get lacerated and even end up bankrupt. Read Market Wizards and do follow up research on the individuals who are profiled to come up with your own conclusion. No comment on swing traders with big stops No comment on scalpers Soros and Buffet do not average 35% a year. I have no idea where that information came from. Maybe about 10-12% and that is just maybe. Soros had one of the single largest trading loses ever recorded.
