The method isn't as important as the message. Cutting losses and admitting you are wrong is one of the most important parts of trading. If you enter trades that have a large enough profit potential, if you get out prematurely because of a stop, then there should be plenty room to get back in even if it is at a worse price. You need to develop a methodology to remain in a trade that provides you with objective "lines in the sand" that you can properly execute each time you take a trade. What you are describing is going to happen no matter what you try to do. You can try to minimize the times that it happens, but the fact is that it is going to happen. The best thing to do is salvage your mind, knowing that you did everything you could have done to stay in, given the information that you had at that time.
